Rewards dependent on KE ratio - I like that! Or at least some reduction, if KE is over 5 or so.
Could be a useful incentivation tool to not sell Hive.
At these price levels we NEED to think outside of the box and also about more radical steps like reduction of the HBD APR or the rather useless 3% Hive "inflation".

The bigger nail to hammer down right now are those with a high KE but at the same time providing very little contribution/value to the ecosystem. Having a high KE in and of itself doesn't tell the full story - I could be selling all my hive to sit on Bitcoin thinking it's gonna 2x soon so I can buy 2x more hive for instance in half a year - or any other reason. But having a high KE, getting a lot of stake and still barely being around - that's the thing we should focus on stamping down first imo. Because if people are getting a lot hive for doing close to nothing, naturally it's not going to mean much to them and they're willing to part with it easily.
I've legit seen some folks brag about buying a big flat screen TV some years ago while their KE (even though it didn't exist back then yet) was approximately 30. Then you looked at their posts and it was 1-2 big voters always while there was barely any engagement nor was the author trying to engage.
Most people who do a lot for hive either on chain or behind the scene do "advertise" this either in their bio or mention it in posts/comments, so I'm not advocating for downvoting or not rewarding those people - even if their KE happens to be high.
But if you're "just" an author and still earning a lot with no signs of trying, then stakeholders should stop rewarding that and not force people to start downvoting to stop that activity.
Inflation is reducing on its own, making drastic changes there is not a good idea, imo, especially not to HP. As for HBD, people say it's better to lower it when price of hive is doing better.
¡Hola @acidyo !
If I'm not mistaken, the HP inflation is to balance falling vest values with the increasing HIVE tokens so HODLers don't get screwed.
They get screwed anyway by the inflation of the token which is way more than the 3% APR.
Didn't that also get reduced with the "dhf fix" recently?
I don´t think so, the peakd-wallet says 3,76% but no clue from where they get the information.
The witness rewards were reduced however, so that I am currently even with rank 52 in deficit.
