The News
Not too much happening on the prices this week although $HIVE is down a little. As I always say, it needs people to be buying to improve. I expect some who are already here will as it is so cheap, but we need reasons for others to come and invest something.

@ecency are offering personal blogs based on your Hive posts. Unlike other blogging platforms they are not hosting the content so you cannot lose it even if they were to shut down. They charge a small amount for this service.
A less well known front end is Slothbuzz. As well as games they also offer a personal blog and I think that is free!
@pinkfloyd878 finally posted about their work on @risingstargame. It is still improving.
@peakd added more feed options to help you discover more posts.

Friday Follows
- My friend @bozz was a guest on Hive Thrive this week. I can recommend joining that each week on Discord as you can chat to other Hivers during the show.
- @nicklewis had suggested a mini Hive meetup at a music event. He got to meet @alonicus there.
- @blocktunes posted about the state of the music industry. Artists should be looking at alternatives like Hive where they have more control as platforms like Spotify are unlikely to pay them much.
- @bil.prag took some great photos at a music festival.
- @erikah is offering votes if you can meet their criteria.
- @sunsethunter has a new guitar lesson.
The End
I am getting close to ten years on Hive so I may do a big post about that to see what I can remember. I have seen plenty of change and it is sad that Hive is not much bigger by now. It is still fun for me and I will continue to promote it. It is what we make it.
Have a great weekend and Hive five!

Thanks for the mention and pointing me towards some other great Hive talent. I’m still excited for this platform!
You are very welcome. I still see great potential even though we have been waiting years for it to take off. We have survived ten years and people will want alternative options.
Thanks for the shout out! It was a ton of fun to do the show! Much easier than I thought it would be!
I find people are pretty friendly and just want to build cool stuff. I'm glad they had you on the show.
For that could be some kind of extra benefit for holding bigger amounts of hive, something related to the dolphin, whale positions... Need more use to generate more demand.
You can earn from any stake, but that may not be enough for some people. People invest for many reasons, but also will pay out just to support what they enjoy as on Patreon. I don't have all the answers, but I'll do what I can.
I think the earning from stake would be enough if the token were stable. Rn with hive constantly going down it means that a share of the earning or most of it are lost from the constant price of the HP Stake going down.
Staking probably won't be enough to sustain it, but some people bought a lot of HBD. The interest rate has gone down now as it probably wasn't sustainable.
A simple example of how it could incentive people > more benefits.
If the user has at least X HP they'll show up in a exclusive list at the top of all front ends.
The people will return once the Hive price is more appealing, thus we need the entire crypto market to turn bullish for that to happen. It is not written in stone, but that's how it happened in the past.
But what will make it go up? As I said, that happens if people invest and they need reasons.
First of all we need more activity on the chain. And with that the apps that are being developed here - like the last I discovered Football Exchange (https://peakd.com/hive-115814/@sportsblock/the-football-exchange-is-now-live) would get funds into the ecosystem and push the price up.
We need multiple things to be happening, but it still has to be fun.
True, if there isn't any fun or happiness in it, we'll lose the passion for it.
Update: @steevc, I paid out 14.025 HIVE and 0.000 HBD to reward 7 comments in this discussion thread.
