A Dash of Sult N Papper 04/01/20> The problem as I see it…. lack of common sense.

In Texas we...

In Texas we can expected the restrictions now in place with “stay at home orders” will continue for at least the whole month of April as the governor made the announcement Tuesday afternoon. I have a hard time wrapping my little brain around just what exactly is going on here with this COVID-19.

Every year here...

Every year here in the USA we experience “flu season” which generally is considered to be from October thru May, eight months. So, as of yesterday, we are two thirds of the way through that flu season. I thought I might just take a look for past data on recent flu seasons just to get an idea of how deadly are the normal flues we contract here are.

According to the CDC’s (Center for Disease Control) the 2017 -2018 flu season there was roughly 61,000 deaths here in the USA that was flu related. That’s a pretty substantial number as I see it and the 2018-2019 flu season came in at 34,200 which is slightly more than half the previous season’s fatalities.

Now keep in mind that the two most common strains (types) of flu those seasons were flues that vaccines were available for; which supposedly would keep you from getting the flu.

Now after what...

Now after what I would call a “pretty bad year” for flu in the ’17-’18 flu season you would think that everyone in the USA would run out and get a flu shot before the ’18-’19 season started but that really wasn’t the case.

The number of vaccines in children only increased 4.7% over the ’17-’18 season to 62% for those under the age of 17 years. Adults in that same time frame had a vaccination rate of slightly higher than 45%.

Keep in mind we all know that the flu is deadly; they tell us that prior to each season usually starting in August about the time children are heading back to school.

I guess where...

I guess where I am going here with this is that given the prior years’ statistics for the last few seasons we should have been shutting down the country, and probably the world for that matter, but that hasn’t happen that I can recall. Why is that? Why does the government care about us so much now; our health and safety?

The government of...

The government of the USA has already determined that an acceptable death rate from flu is as high as 61,000 in a season since they didn’t take action in the ’17-’18 season to shut the country down.

This CV-19 situation has done far more damage than any foreign army or terrorist group could have imagined doing in their wildest dreams. I can assure you that enemies of the USA are taking notes on how they might be able to crush us without the need for large armies or nuke missiles.

Up until now...

Up until now I thought that tRump was doing a pretty decent job as the President of the USA but all the good he has done just went out the window… like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

What exactly is the causing all the fear in our elected officials? What would justify ruining the country when the “we the people” have already shown that more than half the population will face a deadly virus without a flu shot by our own choice?

People who want one can get one, even the poor; they give ‘em away for free for those who can’t afford them. So it has to be that the risk versus the reward isn’t worth it for most people to get a flu shot.

I personally don't...

I personally don’t trust politicians, or pharmaceuticals companies for that matter, so I can foresee a little trouble for me in the not too distant future when some big pharma company has a new vaccine for this COVID-19 virus and will be mandatory that all people in the USA get the vaccination.

I was 15 the last time I got a flu shot and I got the flu that year, so what did I gain in that? A sore arm for a few days is all got that I can remember. I’m not convinced that it didn’t make my case of the flu even worse to boot. I may have had two bouts, (if that many) in the 49 years since then of the flu.

If you look...

If you look back to the H1N1 flu pandemic of 2009 you’ll find the estimated death toll worldwide from that is estimated to have been between 150,000 and 575,000 in the first 12 months as it came into existence. I also do not recall that we shut the country down then by the way.

It was unknown (H1N1) as to how nasty it was gonna be but officials let it run its course and the chips fall where they may so to speak. This current situation should probably been handled the same way. It is a world that has always know the saying “survival of the fittest” or to put a twist on that “survival of the smartest”.

Common sense is...

Common sense is what is lacking it seems from both the government and the people. I can see how people can feel trapped because they’re living with high debt and feel they have to go to work if they can get their shoes on and make it to the door.

The paycheck to paycheck syndrome can cause people to lose their common sense. The government folks leading us don’t have to worry; they’ll get their checks regardless how little they show up for work. So what is their excuse for their lack of common sense?

We have seven...

We have seven months until it is election time here in the USA (if they even hold the election) I would offer that you seriously vote for not one person holding any elected position currently.

In my opinion every one of them has proven in this ordeal that their common sense has abandoned them and they need to be run out of town on rail.

Chances are you’ll have plenty of time to mull this over while you are waiting to get your brand new COVID-20 vaccine.

COVID-19 virus is a flu; get over it, and let’s get back to work and using some common sense.

I’ve rambled on enough for this one,
Until next time,
Sult

Lotta good stuff there Mr. P. This could get sorta disjointed because, well, I'm disjointed.

CV is a little different from the flu we are used to. A huge part of the FUD is that it is not really related, but just sprang into being about 6 months ago. There is no vaccine, there is no known treatment. We have no real idea if getting it once gives you immunity for any appreciable amount of time. It's just too damn soon to know...

Flu has the good grace to kill people relatively quickly so they don't infect so damn many people between symptoms and dead. CV is transmissible for up to 48 hours before the first symptom then it takes an average of 3 weeks to die. Ties up a hell of a lot of hospital space and time...

So, it's got some differences and it's just damn scary to the medical folks. Which transmits to general fear in we the people. To compound that, we got to see the 'panic buying' and 'hoarding' behavior sweep the general population. When there is fear in 'we the people' you can bet your ass that the pols will respond. Nobody better equipped to feel the slightest of breeze blowing.

Our infection rate in the US is doubling every 3.5 days. Which means if not interrupted we'd get the effects of a 8 month flu season in one month, rather than spread out. And so far, there is no indication that CV virus will go inactive in the warm weather like flu.

Vaccine: You've taken one more flu shot in your life than I have. Of course I've run the numbers and prefer to take my chances without. I've had two really good hard cases of flu (and a whole bunch of modest cases) in my adult life. Will I take a CV shot? Probably not, but I reserve the right to change.

So what am I saying? I don't know. I can certainly see your 'lets go back to work' idea and take our death toll and move on. I can also see trying to maximize our chances as a nation. It's not at all hard to see a death toll in the US over 100,000 by 2021. That's a lot.

And the entire scariest part? It'd be relatively easy to tweak CV19 virus into CV20 or 30 and turn it loose on the earth again. I'm guessing more than one terrorist leader has had that thought...

@bigtom13,
Keep in mind a few things about the world we live in today, especially here in the US. Some of which are:

  • We have been educated for the most part government controlled schools

  • We have medical system that would rather treat patients than cure patients

Cured patients means lost customers for the medical system
  • People who have found cures mysteriously die or disappear shortly after

Now with those things being said I want to share a link with you to book that was written and published back in 1914 in Tulsa, OK by Charles O. Frye

After reading it you might want to change "there is no known treatment" to "there is a known treatment, they just don't want you to know".

You will see by reading his book that "Kerosene" , yes the stuff we put in old oil lamps, is in fact a cure for viruses. Viruses have a coating, (keep in mind I sometimes confuse terms that I don't study with frequency) or a shell known as "lipids" which are not water soluble and have adhesion properties, and therefor we can't flush them out of our bodies.

Kerosene is a solvent and if I remember correctly, a seven chain hydrocarbon. When folks get kerosene into their blood system the hydrocarbons strip the lipids of that coating, basically dissolving them and thus allowing the actual virus to expelled from the body.

Shortly after Mr. C.O. spread his news with his publication in 1914 just like clock work Kerosene containers started carrying warnings about it being "harmful & may cause death" if ingested.

I'm quite sure that most anything might be harmful or even cause death when taken to much of it in at one time. So the warning may have been placed there to protect the producers from lawsuits or more importantly to instill "fear " in people who might use it for medicinal purposes...like curing viruses by dissolving them.

A teaspoon of kerosene taken two or three times a day worked miracles at curing lung problems, tuberculosis, cancer and much more according to C.O.

I hope that you will take the time to read it... there is much more in it and he does far better job explaining it then I've done here, mine is view from 50,000 feet where as his ground level. Here is that link

Thanks for the read and thoughtful comment, I truly appreciate the continued support you show to the Dash.

Fascinating! I had to look up this book to read it for myself. I see he recommends 1/2 teaspoon twice daily. How did you come across this book?

@hebrewhousewife , I just was in Tulsa, OK on business last month and had lunch with a customer and his elderly father who mentioned old "home remedies" and his family knew C.O. so I jotted down the name and did some research online and found it.
I only read it once but I was amazed too... I think if I remember right , in the testimonials there were different amounts and methods depending on what the person had as far as dosage and application. But the main thing is that it works and folks who were damn near dead fully recovered and lived to tell their story.
Glad you enjoyed it. Do you have something that you are trying to cure?
Thanks,
Sult

Howdy sir sultnpapper! Very interesting information like the book you talked about in the comments, cure with Kerosene! wow.

The death projections are in the millions as far as world wide numbers so the doctors are alarmed even though the virus itself is very weak so it's a very different animal.

What gets me is that the natural MDs are telling us how to boost our immune systems and for most of us it is an easy fix and we won't get sick even if we have the virus.

So the infections and hospitalizations would drop instantly if everyone got on these immune boosters but I haven't heard a word about this natural cure from any government official.

"but I haven't heard a word about this natural cure from any government official.", @janton you said. My reply: You won't.

It is as plain & simple as I can put it. Wait to you get caught up with my post Dash from 04/03/20.
Sult

Yeah that's for sure. I'm trying to catch up with your posts, I should get there sometime today!

I read the conversation between you and @bigtom13, eavesdropping so to speak;)
I'm very interested in the kerosene remedy, will certainly read that!
My nephew's a doctor and has been urging us to stay away from the shops as it is scarily contagious, his words! The danger is the long incubation period!
To me it's really like chemical warfare and there's a whole lot of conspiracy theories saying that China's behind this; some very plausible theories!
I googled the Spanish flu which started in 1918, died off but came back with a vengeance in a mutant form. This flu lasted all of two years with 500 million contracting it and 20-50 million people dying!
We're nowhere near that so I also wonder, what is happening here!

@lizelle thanks for reading and the comment, it's okay you been "eavesdropping" but the next day I did a post on it so you'll run into that one I'm pretty sure. But here is the link, to save you some time https://hive.blog/dailydose/@sultnpapper/a-dash-of-sult-n-papper-04-03-20-i-think-i-fit-that-description-have-trump-get-in-touch-with-me

I don't know if it is an intentional thing, this virus, or some testing gone haywire , or what. But there are ways to combat it in my opinion based on old "home remedies"used successfully on viruses long before big pharma came along to "save" us.
