Nothing to Reproach...

in #hive2 months ago

As you can see, we're sinking into misery on this blockchain. There's nothing to reproach anyone for; we've done everything in our power as users to prevent the price collapse... even so, the drain continues, with its fluctuations and small glimmers of hope. However, nothing we've done is enough... There are no buyers out there.

There aren't any for Bitcoin, nor for any other major altcoin. What can we expect from our small project?

We continue to depend on "others," on what Bitcoin does, on its ability to excite the masses, on creating the infamous FOMO... No, we don't have anything to reproach ourselves for... or perhaps we do, but it's too late.

We should have invested more time and money in increasing our visibility out there, more listings on exchanges, more disruptive projects—in short, more marketing. Even so, I think our situation at this point could be similar, perhaps not quite at absolute zero, but low nonetheless.

No, we don't have to reproach ourselves for anything... We've already reduced our interest in HBD savings, and we've withdrawn our support for certain DHF Fund projects. Even so, there are people who need to sell at any price, and the number of buyers out there is dwindling. The price of our beloved asset has to hit new lows to see if anyone is still willing to bet on our tokens at a lower level... All we can do is persevere, as always, wait for FOMO to return, and try to do things better once it does, if it ever does again...

Hoping that this technological "infrastructure" outlasts us so we can witness it.

Hive has always needed a money making business to be built on top of it. I tried, I didn't succeed. Without a money making business which needs Hive, I'm not sure how we push this along.

well apps here dont do revenue. They dont do marketing to attract users from outside the ecosystem.

Depending on DAO handouts is not sustainable and that is IMO the reason not even the 10 years + ppl on hive buy now. It doesnt feel good.

Frontends are IMO pretty expensive for what they offer. Not a single one tries to make money outside of DAO. The freedom of speech salepoint is also questionable. We saw not a single 2 side reporting of any conflict or world events over the last 2 years. Not even on Venezuela ( i think most active hive users from there).

Thank you for your work. Your project has been one of the best imo, I’m sad you haven’t got the proper support you deserve to maintain it

💯

btw your payment app for example was pretty cool from the idea.

I think you had a great idea and app. It's too bad it didn't work out, but you did a great job.

There's multiple factors... It's too easy to grind hive for free, too many extractors are rewarded, no marketing at all and a rally car isn't marketing... Governments are also killing crypto

agree

Feels bad these days, Eddie. Am fully with you. 5 Cent seemed unbelievable just a year ago. Now we are approaching 4 Cent, probably going lower.
Good News is: Selling your HIVE now is absolute nonsense since it is worth almost nothing anyways. I am hodling my HP and hope we can climb back up once BTC bearmarket is over. Might Take some more months..🤷🏼‍♂️

Yes this is depressing to watch...but am always encouraged to see long term users like you who slug it out everyday on this platform.

That gives me hope

We never resolved the onboarding/retainment issue. It's just too much trouble for the average person to get involved. Then, there was the whales down voting people into oblivion for making too much on posts they don't particularly like.
It's like we tried to build a resort then drowned all the tourists. Who wants to show up for that?

It's hard with the way Hive is generated, and the DHF prints a ton of Hive every single day. I was quite sad when I saw the HBD interest drop from 15% to 12% then to 10%, but the DHF continued to run as normal.
