RE: What is HIVE?

in #hive2 months ago

"A key bug or feature (I am honestly not sure which it is right now), of the reward pool is it forces us to interact even if we don't want to.

"The reward pool is our "Common Good" not a "Public Good."

"How we use the reward pool is the most important thing on HIVE in my opinion."

This is why I was so excited for communities when Ned said they'd be able to control their own rewards pools, determine how curation worked, set DV policies, and etc. If we did that the different communities would experiment with different policies, and some of them would rapidly decline, and hopefully some of them would dramatically grow.

The one's that grew would show how to better manage these metrics. Others would adopt those mechanisms, and Hive would become communities that successfully handled these mechanisms, and grow as a result.

I think that would save Hive.
