Our week (Cats, Heating, Engery Prices, Protests)

in #hivecats2 years ago (edited)

It was a week with lots of migraine on my end, due to the weather changing between rain and sun constantly. I'm almost fine today, and only feel the strain from the many migraines during the week.

The temperature is now around 10°C at it's lowest in the morning. But only because of all the bad weather we keep getting, otherwise it could still be a lot warmer. Early September often brings lots of cold rainy days, and that's almost always been that way, ever since I was a child in the late 80s and 90s. It was always the typical school start weather, signalling the end of the lovely summer break and summer itself.

Which brings me to the next point. Luckily, we were connected to the city wide heating system now. Before, the apartment had a gas boiler that heated the water and pumped it through the radiators in the home. It was fine, until the price explosion... They already hiked up the price in January. But they increased the price for gas again, which would have hit us starting September. But we were already disconnected in August.

We used to pay around 40EUR for the gas every month. This January it increased to 65EUR a month. The price we would have had to pay starting September would have been 110EUR! I'm sure this will keep going up even higher.

At least in our city, they don't use gas to heat the water for the city heating system. They use the heat coming off factories, solar panels, the heat from the burning of rubbish in the recycling plant and all sorts of other things. So as long as the electricity doesn't shut down this winter, we should be fine. We don't need gas to produce electricity here either, but some cities do.

But gas is needed for a lot of other important and needed for the Industry and countless other places.

We used to have surplus electricity here and it was really cheap. Of course then the whole NWO agenda started taking off and they got rid of all the coal power plants.

The logical thing should have been to remove the coal power plants only after they have been replaced with equally efficient other means. But unfortunately, most western governments are corrupted and infiltrated by unelected groups of rich powerful people, who push their agenda through corrupt politicians.

Anyway, back to my own life... The pump in the basement still needs to be turned on to get the hot water in from the city wide system. It's not really necessary to turn on the heating yet anyway, but they will probably turn on that pump next week.

Btw, there was a huge protest in Vienna today, regarding the globalist made energy crisis, the EU and it's increasing suffocating regulations, the price increase, the corrupt government and for freedom. Basically a protest about everything that's wrong right now.

Leo had his spaying surgery

Leo was the first of the 3 kittens to have his surgery. The appointment was on Thursday, at 7:30 in the morning. The first appointment, so he would not have to wait. Poor Leo was a lot more scared than normal, as it was the first time without his siblings. At their check up weeks earlier, they were all together.

But it wasn't long before I got the call to pick him up again. About two hours later in all.

Hero, Lisa, Lily and little Sonic all gave him a greeting, as if they had not seen him for years. Sniffing all over him, due to the Vet smell, lots of headbonks and nosebonks. Leo was normal, but his pupils were still huge from the anaesthesia. Of course he had to carefully check out the whole apartment, to make sure everything is still the same.

After eating properly, he became really sleepy and had a good long nap for about 3 hours. Then he was back to running around like mad and playing with the others.

This Sunday was over in no time. The sun was setting when I started this post and now it's almost 9pm.

So I'll end this and wish everyone a pleasant and peaceful rest of the Sunday.
