HiveFest Is Over
HiveFest is over for this year, and I missed it. Like I said in a previous post, it just wasn’t reasonable for me in the end. I put it down to lack of proper planning at the end of the day. I think I just got really busy with other things and time ran out.
This is why I am now already kicking off a plan for next year. I have no idea where it’s going to be, but I’m going to try to make it. I have also decided to pay for it with my Hive savings. So I’m going to start saving a portion of my HBD from now until then.
I suspect this will involve inter-continental travel, perhaps to Africa or the Americas, and I want to be ready. It would be kind of cool if it happened somewhere in the United States. I think we will get a massive turnout if that is the case. Travel to the US from Europe is easy and affordable, especially if booked early.
I’d also be quite happy if it happens somewhere in Africa. Nigeria would be the obvious place, due to the sheer number of Hivers there, but Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa would also be great options. In terms of distance from Europe and America, Senegal or Gambia would be perfect, but that would be a long journey for people attending from Asia.
Let’s wait and see. I’m up for an adventure and I’ll plan it better this time. Let’s hope the world doesn’t descend into complete chaos before then.

I am super excited where the next hive fest will be and I am already saving funds for it. Most of it fiat probably because of the travel expenses but I am on my way to pay my ticket with hive/hbd next time. Also I will stay for longer in the location - this time I had only Wed-Sun which was simply not enough for me. Looking forward to meeting you there - no matter where it will be!
If it's in America or Africa, I'll probably go for 2 weeks to take advantage of it :). I may do some trading back and forth of HBD-Hive if the opportunity arrises. I've managed to get 50% gains sometimes.

The time to start saving is now. Even if it doesn't happen in Nigeria and you can't attend, you'd have built up a nice pile of money ;)

USA is due for a Hivefest since there has never been one here. I'd vote for the Midwest since it is more affordable by comparision to the coasts to get lodging, venues, etc. St. Louis and Kansas City are fantastic cities with good airports and affordable amenities.
That'd be just amazing. I have a childhood friend that lives in Kansas City that I haven't seen in 20 years! We talk on skype/facetime but it's been aaaages. Would probably take an extra week just to hang out with him.
