Hive is the result of a series of signs the community was able to read and react accordingly
If you ask me, HIVE was born out of what our former Blockchain should have been. It's the idealistic version of what could have been.
What is HIVE to me?
Hive is a second chance for...
The community to show the world our resilience and committment not to a coin or a blockchain, but to the community per se;
The stakeholders to do better with their stake, to take care of spreading the votes correctly and to protect the chain's governance by selecting the right witnesses;
Content creators to not abuse, milk or get into shady practices, and just post Original, selfmade content;
Witnesses to not engage in politics so much and make decisions based on what's best for the community, long term and overall.
Projects and dApps to show that while the technology is important, being fair and listening to your userbase is key.
What do I want to see HIVE evolve into?
I would love to see HIVE being forgotten by the average user.
Yeah, exactly how that sounds.
Once we have millions and millions of users, each of them paying attention to an app, a community or a tribe on a daily basis, the word HIVE will be forgotten by the average Joe, your normie user.
But the idea of HIVE will thrive, will stay there in the projects, dapps and communities.
Threespeak, Actifit, Peakd, OCD... every user out there will be familiar with these names, and they will be familiar with the concept of HIVE and what it means to be part of the WEB 3.0 but, ultimately, HIVE as a coin/blockchain will only stay present in the minds of those truly and deeply involved with the chain.
The average user will know the advantages of posting on Peakd: the immutability, non-censorship, free-speech, monetization and all the other positive aspects of posting on top of the Hive but, hopefully, the concept of the HIVE goes beyond, and the word is forgoten and, at the same time, the idea of HIVE remains within each community, dapp and project.
What do you think about having a large funded DAO for future HIVE development?
One word: Finally.
Over the past 4 years we had to rely on, or better said, most of the tech development had to be depended on a single, unmotivated team.
Now we have the opportunity to change that - and I'm going to get heavily involved with it - and get the wheels turning, start the engines and finally, get something done here.
Before, stakeholders had to endure a company selling our token on a weekly basis and we were all losing money in spite of a bunch of people getting their pockets full; I don't mind - as a stakeholder - enduring sell pressure in the markets if it is because the DAO is funding a project that long term, will benefit the blockchain and the Community.
