I was thinking of a content in my next post then my friend suggested why not write about my experience as a frontliner in this challenging time.
So yeah, why not? So today I want to share a bit about my work and a glimpse of my station. In almost all places in the world just like in the Philippines are implementing community quarantine. People are advised to stay at home except for the frontliners and essential workers. In my case, as I am a nurse, I still work four to five times a week. I am to be thankful that I'm not really hundred percent at risk because I work in a mental facility and not in a medical hospital who has Covid-19 infected patients. In any way, it is still risky to go out everyday and go to work.

The once busy street now empty during Community Quarantine in the City.

Night shift. Less to none patient contact this time.
Since I'm working in a small psychiatric facility, I only have three workers with me in each shift. During this time, we don't allow visitors inside to ensure our resident patients' safety from the virus.

I am actually alone in this station.
This Pandemic also requires me to live near my workplace and to be away from my family. So I also need to go out to the grocery or market to buy food and everyday needs. Being a frontliner is not easy but it also made me realize that I have chosen an essential career. There are also reports anywhere that the frontliners are being discriminated, especially the nurses. That's so heartbreaking to see that my colleagues are actually sacrificing their health just to help and do their job yet are getting this in return. Lucky are those people who can stay at home and be with their family but this is my profession and I chose this. I am away from home for more than a month now and I really miss home cooked meal. I miss the fresh air way back home and my nieces and nephews laughing. All I can do is to hope and pray that this will end soon.
I hope everyone will follow the government's guidelines to stay at home and maintain social distancing. Please, I miss the fastfood and cinema too. Stay safe and please pray also for all our frontliners.
Being a frontliner is not joke. You may not in a place where many patients having the virus. There are still risk that you might be infected. I can feel the loneliness in your post. Maybe you really miss your family. But stay strong and stay healthy. This will be over for sure.
Thank you..❤️ keep safe.
thank you...stay safe po.
Salute to you and to all the frontliners around the world! Hopefully this will end sooner para makabalik na rin yung mga kagaya mong nawalay sa pamilya. Stay strong and safe ma'am. :)
thank you po...be safe.💕
thank you po..yes this will be over soon.😊
