Why Hive Power (HP)?
With more Hive Power you also have more Voting Power here on @peakd resp. @ecency.app and you get an interest of nearly 3% on your HP. Not bad at all, right? Therefore I regularly power up Hive Coins to HP. In addition, you are not tempted to sell your hive in the short term, because it takes 13 weeks until you have the hive completely "liquid" again via a power down.
PUD - Gamification via HiveBuzz
But why do I always do the power ups on the first of the month? It's because that's when Power Up Day (PUD) is. An initiative by @hivebuzz. Everyone who powers up at least 10 hives on that day gets a nice badge with a bee on it for their profile. The bee is bigger the more hives you power up. The badge has no real use but it is cool and fun to get a symbolic reward for the HP. Gamification just! 😋
How do you do it with the hive/power ups and the PUD?

Probably it is the bee, because hive is also the word for a beehive and there are these little flying animals living. 🐝

Mit mehr Hive Power hat man auch mehr Voting Power hier auf @peakd bzw. @ecency.app und bekommt noch eine Verzinsung von rund 3% auf seine HP. Schonmal nicht schlecht oder? Daher powere ich regelmäßig Hive Coins zu HP auf. Zusätzlich gerät man so auch nicht kurzfristig in Versuchung seine Hive zu verkaufen, denn es dauert 13 Wochen bis man die Hive über einen Power Down wieder vollständig „flüssig“ zur Verfügung hat.

Aber warum mache ich die Power Ups immer am Ersten eines Monats? Das liegt daran, dass da der Power-up-Day (PUD) ist. Eine Initiative von @hivebuzz. Jeder der an dem Tag mindestens 10 Hive aufpowert, bekommt ein hübsches Badge mit einer Biene drauf für sein Profil. Die Biene ist dabei umso größer, je mehr Hive man aufpowert. Das Badge hat an sich keinen richtigen Nutzen aber es ist cool und macht einfach Spaß für die HP eine symbolische Belohnung zu bekommen. Gamification halt! 😋
Wie macht ihr das mit den Hive/Power ups und dem PUD? Wie gefällt euch die Idee mit den Bienen Badges?
PS: Warum eigentlich Bienen?
Wahrscheinlich ist es die Biene, weil Hive auch das Wort für einen Bienenstock ist und da leben bekanntlich diese kleinen Flugtierchen. 🐝
