Valentine's Day is weird. I don't particularly like it, but I "observe" it . . . yet I don't feel bad if I kind of miss it and am honest about it -- which is what happened this year. And usually my husband and I are on the same page, but not this year. Of course he went all out for me and the kids this time (and I only took care of the kids).
Beautiful.
What's bizarre is that even though I don't like the "holiday" or feel any obligation toward it, I get slightly annoyed if I don't get just a 5 dollar bouquet from the grocery store. Valentine's Day is confusing.
