On Tuesday morning I was up at 4:30AM. I’d decided to clean up the tax form and submit it properly. It took quite a while to do. But now I have my own copy and can print it out as needed. Then I got my post up and headed to the kitchen.
I had to finish the convection oven project so my helper friend and I would have room to work. So I finished cleaning it as best as I could and put it back together.
I had a couple other small kitchen chores to do and then I started cleaning the kitchen. He arrived well before I finished. He did a few chores while I was finishing then started watering the house plants.
Some of them had started to wilt so it was past time. He kept on with that while I got laundry started.
Our project for the day was this cabinet. But all we got done was this wall and the cast iron lids cleaned and re-seasoned.
We were sitting at the dining room table and there were 3 woodpeckers on the suet. My helper friend can remember the different ones. I forget what the little one I see all the time is called. This one is the Hairy woodpecker. I thought the other big one was a flicker because he had a tannish belly.
But I think “he” was a “she” because it looked more like the one on the left. It was gone by the time I was able to try for a photo.
I kept at the laundry and read a good deal more of the Change Your Diet book in the afternoon.
On Wednesday I hope to finish the bills/budget before I go to exercise class. I doubt I’ll get much done after, if Monday was any indication. But there’s still laundry and the kitchen to clean up.
I think we have downy woodpeckers and flickers around here. On rare occasions we see a pileated woodpecker.
Cleaning up the kitchen seems to never end. As soon as it's done, I mess it up again with another cooking project! Oh well, I like to eat my own homemade foods, so the mess is worth it.
If it was just me making the mess, it would be here too!
It must have really been a very busy day for you. Hope you eventually had time to rest because it is very important
Very busy cleaning in the kitchen! At least you got the important tax form done!
I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between those birds. They looks very similar.
This week I have to do my cast iron as well and clean the oven. Ugh! What do you season yours with?
Coconut oil
Thank you!

The three woodpeckers look cute
I love that one with the orange beak…
Woodpeckers seem to be one of the most beautiful birds I’ve known
Just take a look at their beaks and color of their feathers
They look so cute
