But before I forget there some basic things I want us to know about the handling of Grasscutters, they are very smart, and always watching your moves wisely ,I got some experience some few weeks ago when the kids are on holiday one of my giant male came up out his cage and all my kids wanted to catch and prove to daddy that they can catch the GC by so doing they kept runing and running after this GC since morning till evening and cut off the tail and it was inside the compound for 3 days after much this disturbance I later cut it on the 3rd day due to different loads within the compound without the tail it's abit difficult to catch but I ended catching it by force by fire after putting it in his cage I discovered that it doesn't eat for 3 days then later died on the 4th day,my kids did a funeral and it was buried ...This is my point so please follow this few steps of mine.
- Try as much as possible to get the tip of the tail and pull it up.
2.pin down the head slightly
3.And turn upside down to examine
4.or use a iron made catcher not from the floor but from inside the cage to catch animals.
