VIDEO: NO HOMESTEAD FOR YOU! ~ Some People Can't Handle It

I'm walking around today on the back side of our mountain and looking around for deer antlers. I didn't find any but any walk through my woods is an enjoyable one...especially in the fall and winter.

Take a real hard look at becoming a homesteader before you actually become one. Do you have what it takes to do what is needed to build and grow your farm? Are you willing to put in the hard hours of labor and nurturing care? Are you willing to make the hard choices of taking a life in order to save another life that you deem more valuable?

If you can't answer these questions in the affirmative. You're not ready.

Bout time I followed you. @mama-pepper saw some if your stuff in YouTube and I'm glad y'all found out about steemit. We're up in the Ozarks too, starting on our dream.

Nice to see you guys getting some good payouts too! Way to go!

Hey thanks! I'm hoping to get more of my audience to come over but the BIGGEST complaint so far is that they are not getting approved for sign ups? It's taking people sometimes multiple attempts to sign up here. But thanks for the follow! Means a lot!

Hopefully that gets worked out soon. Good on you for inviting others to come on over.

There is a link to a portal in steemit search where you look for registration portal! Good luck, and enjoyed your post!

It took about 10 days for them to approve me. It was worth the wait though. Glad to see you here. Take care.

New here and finding people to follow, hi.

LOL Calm down Man... :) NO homestead for you! :)

so long..and thanks for all the fish.

and how do you think the meat ended up at the grocery store? How did people eat meat before there was a grocery store?

He was being sarcastic...that's just how he rolls. :)

lol indeed!

well..well...you shouldn't be asking those kinds of questions.
I'm offended.
I need my safe space..

Truer words have never been spoken! I will point out that keeping even one chicken means you have to provide it food and water every day. 365 days a year. No days off, no matter whether you're sick, wanna go on vacation, or just don't feel like it.

A homestead takes a lot more than one chicken, and keeping enough livestock to keep a family in butter, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.. takes hours EVERY day.

I dunno when this picture you've posted was taken, but hereabouts, sheds usually drop from February to March, and if you haven't found them by the end of April, they're usually already rodent dung.

Rodents, whose teeth never stop growing, need the calcium, and chew them to bits in short order.

Thanks!

Some people have all the luck. I've never found one...but that doesn't stop me from looking.

Hi from Australia and am following you.

New here to and you may know me as #shesabottler on utube, following and hi from Australia.

Coyotes, foxes, weasles, opossum, owls and hawks ..., oh and neighbor's dogs VS chickens = dead chickens. Not good. Great video !!

One thing I've wondered about. Can I still homestead even on a power grid? I can still prepare for any power loss or turn the electricity off and back on. I can also harvest rain for whenever I need water. I can turn the water off and back on whenever. Wonder if that is still being called homesteading?

:P luv the soup nazi reference.
