We can all get down and struggle in fighting off negative thoughts and attitudes. Life can give us plenty of reason to do so. The thing is, we stay fixed and set our gaze on the negative and let it brood in the depths of our heart. It slowly starts to transform our paradigm of how we see everything. How we see ourselves, others, situations, the world. It all slowly becomes negative because that's what we decide to feed and focus on.
Now imagine when a person like that comes across another in the same boat and they rub each other the wrong way. Ouch.
The negative mindsets and attitudes just get more cemented in themselves. They take on even more evidence in justifying their viewpoint of life. All the while being tricked into thinking they're fine and nothing is bothering them.
Everyone deals with this cycle. It's just flat out an obstacle of being human. But we aren't designed that way!
Breaking away from that cycle is easier than you might think though. It starts in fixing our focus on what is going on around us. There will most certainly always be good somewhere to be found. When we can see that and set our focus on that, we will start to see the transformation in ourselves. The world stops looking so bleak and dark. We start to see light and color in new ways.
Now think of a person like that interacting with someone who is still stuck in the negative cycle of life. Instead of seeing the negativity multiply in both of them like it used to, there is actually an opportunity for change. The one who sees life full of opportunity for life and love is not put off by whatever negativity the other might push on them. In fact, they have found reason to meet their negativity with kindness and hope. With a love and joy that can not be stopped.
And in that moment, the fruit of their kindness is not only found in what it can produce in the other person but what it can produce in themselves as well.
Push through the negativity and cynicism and find a reason to restore hope!

STOPI love it! Yes, positive over negative any day. I used to wonder, in the Bible, Revelation, it mentioned the world destroyed by wormwood. I always wondered, what is the wormwood? A star? I looked up. A dead tree? I looked down. Then, I wondered...maybe, just maybe, wormwood is the negative, bitter emotions of us... and I looked within. It was then I realized, we can choose better.
