Hope and real life

Dear University Professors,

Please stop telling students that they can earn $70,000+ within a year of graduation. For most fields it is an unrealistic expectation. It prevents recent grads from accepting good entry level positions, or internships, because they believe they should find a higher paying offer.

Well, for me it is a big mistake of the teachers; certainly, the new professionals have the right to look for the best job with the best remuneration; but, it is very important that first they gain experience, because this makes the difference and will help they grow and get better jobs and higher salaries. Greetings.

World is changing very fast. Typical college education does not cover everything. It’s good to be street smart. Book smart don’t do well in hard corporate environment. Just my experience.

Yes, that is correct. The ability of each person is an extremely important factor.

Well said @off-the-grid but if they stop telling that how would they survive. No matter what degree you choose it's always depend on skills so we better develop skills first than think about piece of paper :D

New generations need to understand college degree will be useless soon. Lean things outside the books and be unique.
