Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) It's a good opportunity to grow your hive stake. It's important to note that while HPUD is a single day, powering up Hive any time is good! I've actually been buying more Hive this whole past month because the price was low. I've been increasing my Hive Power throughout May.
How am I able to buy Hive and power up consistently?
I've been finding ways to get cheap Hive on Hive-Engine. Finding a few arbitrage opportunities.
Powering up my Hive means I have more say on the platform, by voting on proposals. I get better curation rewards, and am a bigger part of the Hive community. It's not just about the money; it's about being part of something. I run a hive witness node and also a SPS validator all on servers that I own.

I think of Hive Power Up Day as something I do every month to help myself in the future. Go and look at my account it is up to just over 169K HP now. Like everyone else I started with one Hive.

My perception of Hive is a little different than most but I love the various communities here.
I unstaked a lot of HBD and swapped it for Hive. I also sold a bit of SWAP.btc on Hive Engine too. I am slowly powering up HP. I missed PUD because I was busy working, but it does need to take a higher priority in my life.
I delegate to Ecency and get a daily Hive payment and I comment as much as I can.
Always good to have goals to aim at, it helps to keep your mind focused.

I love this. So many detractors and doubters love to claim that you can only achieve this kind of HP if you were in at the start or in some kind of secret club but anyone can do it if they make the effort!

Depending on how things are going on the job front for me, 26th of June looks like a possibility :) Been keeping busy by devoting time to hive, the local community gallery, applying for jobs, and just reading - and going to the gym every 2nd day without fail.
If this is what retirement is like, I'm ready for it, but I need a fair bit more in the super / savings / bank to sustain this for the next 30-50 years :P
