It being extremely easy to implement/sign up and utilize. There is something already like that, kinda. Well last time I checked, about 2 years ago, it was called ZeroNet, a torrent like blockchain, the only problem is that one needed to download the "app" that stored a fraction of the chain to share with the rest of the network as a "torrent", if they could have eliminated that it would have been a different world as far as hosting/website and email/storage was concerned. Which brings me to the point that makes email so valuable on top of it being free: uploading Attachments.
