Namasthe from the Indiaunited community. We hope everyone is doing good. Two weeks back we reinstated activities on our Indian community and so far it is going good. We thought it would be the right time to update the community guidelines as the previous guidelines post is a bit outdated. Before going into the guidelines, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the registered members who have delegated to the community and are supporting in all means.
IndiaUnited is a community of Collective members from India. This community was started 2 years ago by a group of like-minded individuals from India. We had some guidelines earlier and we think now it is a good time to review them revive them. All the members joining the community should follow the below Guidelines.
Registration
In the last week's post, we have introduced a registration system. All the members who are delegating a minimum of 100 HP to the community account are eligible for registration. The good thing about delegation is that the members who delegate to the community account also get an 80% share from the curation rewards every day. We also give equal opportunities for the members who are new to Hive Blockchain. If an individual has less than 150 HP, they get a free registration. (This free registration is not forever, it is only for a limited period of 3 months. In the meantime, the new members can increase their HP over 150 and delegate 100 HP to indiaunited to get themselves registered)
Community Engagement
The discord server is not just for dropping links in the #post-promotion channel alone. Having healthy conversations with team members is very important. If you would like to be recognized, you have to make more friends and interact with people. Just creating posts and waiting for people to upvote is not going to happen. Discord server should be used for healthy community engagement. Engagement is the key to success here. When you give more to the community, you get it back in return.
Post Promotion
The #post-promotion channel in the server is open only for the registered members of the community. You can easily get yourself registered with a delegation of 100 HP to the community account. It is not mandatory but it is a good practice to support some of the members who have already posted links there before we post our link. This is to ensure that we support other members of the community before we look for support. As the community supports only quality content, there is no guarantee that all the posts shared in the #post-promotion channel will be getting an upvote from the community account.
Note: The posts shared in the #post-promotion channel should have the tags #india or #indiaunited. Posts without the tag will be deleted.
Curation Trail
Curation trail is a mechanism where when a community account votes a post, people who are following the community account will also be voting the same post as a trail. We have been operating our curation trail program through Hive.vote website. We already have some active members following the curation trail. For members who cannot manually curate, the curation trail is the best way to automate their voting. You can follow the curation trail with the below link.

Note: Please ensure that you scale your votes accordingly. If you keep fixed voting, there is a possibility that your voting mana can be drained as we vote many posts in a day. The below would be the ideal setting for the curation trail.
Contests
Some of our community members have been hosting contests. Members can join these contests and win prizes or even host their own contests. There will also be contests hosted by the Indiaunited community soon. If you have any good contest ideas and if someone is willing to sponsor for the contests, please reach out to us on Discord. Contest posts can be shared in the #contest-only channel in the discord. It can either be your own contest or someone else's contest or giveaway, you can share the contest link in the channel.
Solicitation
As a part of this guideline, first begging for votes to the community members is prohibited. If you engage well with the community and the community members, you will obviously get good support.
Solicitation for money or other means of payment is STRICTLY Prohibited in the Indiaunited server unless it is approved by the moderators. In case of genuine scenarios like an aid fund for a disaster relief effort, health emergencies, etc., members should create a post on Hive with valid information/proof and then contact one of the moderators to check if we can get community support.
Repeated offenses, Identity theft, etc will not be allowed and any accounts doing such actions will be banned permanently. However, members of the community are open to exchange/trade Cryptocurrencies for INR by interacting with other members at your own risk. IndiaUnited community or the Hive account indiaunited will not be responsible for any unfortunate situations or fraudulence. Members are requested to do their own due diligence.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism will be frowned upon. As a community, we are focused on promoting only quality and original content. If we identify members doing copy-paste or plagiarism, they will be banned from the community after warnings. The community curators also make sure they vote only for quality content.
Delegating to the community
As mentioned in the previous announcement post, the members can register with the community by delegating a minimum of 100 HP. We are currently sharing 80% of the curation rewards with the delegators based on their delegation. The more you delegate to the community, the more you can earn in the form of delegation rewards.
Curation Voting
This is the most important part of the guidelines. The community has now moved fully towards manual curation. We have a few curators in the community who will be hunting for good posts and supporting them with a vote from the community account. We also have some voting guidelines for the curators as well.
- The posts in the #post-promotion channel in the discord server will be reviewed by the curators and the votes will be delivered if the quality condition is met.
- Not all the posts in the #post-promotion channel will get a guaranteed upvote.
- The curation team will look for articles from other communities as well and curate them. The curation is not confined to only the Indiaunited community. But the registered members with a quality article gets high preference.
- As Hive is decentralized and open to all blockchain, we Indians already receive support from many other communities. Likewise, we also render support to another country/community members as well.
Footer Banners
We currently have only one footer banner available. Some of the community members have been already using that in their posts. We also do not have a gif banner yet. If you are a designer and would like to design a few banners for the community, please contact us in Discord.
Endnote
To make the community stronger, we will need good support from the members. You can render your support by upvoting all the posts made by @indiaunited community account. You can also automate this by adding @indiaunited to your fanbase in Hive.vote.
Please follow the guidelines strictly. Together we can make @indiaunited one of the strongest communities in the Hive blockchain. We will be updating the guidelines in the form of new posts if required. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us in the discord server.
