Inuka's health condition, the first polar bear born in the tropics, is getting worse. This makes the Wildlife Reserves Singapore medical team (WRS) forced to euthanasia on Wednesday morning (25/04/2018). The Inuka polar bear must be "put to sleep forever" because the arthritis disease that infestes its body does not heal. Deputy CEO and Head of Life Sciences at WRS, Dr. Cheng Wen-Haur, said euthanasia to Inuka was done at 7 am local time. This decision is certainly not an easy thing. But, according to Wen-Haur, the treatment will only prolong Inuka's suffering and put pressure on her.
