Well I'll have it in a few days but I hope not to have to repair much on it because I want to trade it for a small pickup.
You are headed the right direction, fix it it will be worth more. I am not taking on any new debt....

Sounds smart, especially no new debt! Repairing and selling material to prepare better is wise. Get a bicycle with a motor for SHTF transport. The small truck is a good idea, especially if you set it up for alternate fuel.
Wood smoke generator, browne gas, or alcohol are some good options.

Browne gas is HHO. You get it by separating water electronically. It can NOT be stored, so it has to be made at point of use. But I have seen trucks runnung off of it. You have to find a fuel YOU can make, if the SHTF!
Then you can continue to fucntion....
