Eh been better mental health wise but My overall health is so much better than a couple of years ago. Been feeling like I need to support @ura-soul and others in truth community. I left them to curate splinterlands content and now art. I keep on telling Ura to blockchain game it as well as defy. Like lets go chasing aprs bro... I mean the downvotes are outrageous. Its like Sun is here having a blast destroying our community with aimless flags with our witnesses enjoying it too with their silence. The time is nigh duder. We can make a change. Ura and co. really need community support!

What cha think about my proposal idea? Seems we can easily get rid of downvotes. We need all hands on deck to vote for this yet to be created proposal if this is a protocol change we can make....

III.2. Protocol Changes Pg.5

Hardforks and key protocol changes are accepted by 17 out of 20 consensus witnesses. Witnesses accept protocol changes by updating their nodes or reject them by continuing to run the present version. Protocol changes will not be applied and take effect until consensus is reached. All protocol changes are proposed, developed, prepared for and implemented through a transparent and collaborative team-working environment. They are entirely open source from initiation to their final release.

The main issue is that DV is not necessary at all. If it is then it needs to be better clarified in the Whitepaper.

III.1. Delegated Proof of Stake Pg.5
Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) is the consensus algorithm behind Hive. In a DPoS algorithm, the selection of block producers (called ’witnesses’ on Hive) and all other consensus-based functions are decided based on the weight of staked funds supporting them. Stakeholders hold the highest prominence in DPoS. DPoS consensus is considered to be the most inclusive and the least centralized of all the blockchain protocols.2 DPoS was first invented by Dan Larimer as a functional alternative to the Proof of Work system introduced with Bitcoin. Other prominent DPoS blockchains include BitShares and EOS; they are originally based on Larimer’s Graphene framework.*

V.5. Content Monetization pg.8
During that time it may be curated upwards or downwards through upvotes and downvotes until its final value is determined at the end of the 7 day...

V.6. Distributing Rewards Pg.9
When a user submits a post it initiates a 7 day curation window during which it may be upvoted or downvoted until its final evaluation is reached at the end of 7 days.

Nice, but I'd be risking my own rewards how much by participating?

It's a valid question, and I know I can also still just buy and hodl Hive amd reap rewards too...

It is an honest proposal to remove the words or downwards and downvote in the whitepaper will allow for everyone to live together peacefully and stop this unnecessary divide between whales, witnesses and the community

How would abuse of rewards pool be policed??
I agree, abuse of flagging is BS but so is raping the pool

There is nothing in the whitepaper that explains this and the overall actions over the past year with downvoting compiled with that controversial api for spam accounts that people were using for just what you described was hijacked and used for political and vindictive purposes, proves otherwise.

If downvoting is meant to control inflation it certainly is not in whitepaper. I have not combed through the whitepapers hard forks granted to see further explanations on this but as it is DPoS applied to only one out of the three protocols is interesting considering that we can not downvote witnesses or proposals that are over rewarded, which is the main function of DPoS. Why was downvotes written in for only community posts and not witnesses and proposals points to a very alarming situation.
