Hive is a social block chain project that allow its user to earn crypto while blogging. There are other ugh oksimilar crypto project that does same thing. Hive is a web 3 project that is built on hive block chain technology.
In this article I will reflect why hive is a bad platform, my criticism is for the hive project to improve.

Anti New User /Boring Platform
Each day new users trip into hive but they keep leaving. The ratio is something to wonder about. For hive to reach her full potential the issue of anti new user/ boring need to be address.

If you are a new user on hive platform you will quit within 2 days
Because the platform does not creat opportunity for new users to be notice or get supported. Facebook and other social media are more better on this. Only new users that is been introduced to the platform by a friend can grow and make money. I don't think this should be so, a social platform like hive need to build a community that give advantage to new users so they may grow. I believe hive policy is anti new user friendly, new users lack hive power to engage on the platform, new user will have to depend on older user for HP or purchase hive to power up but mind you the process of power up is complex. I have seen some number of interface build for hive but non as been able to solve the problem of new user friendly, I believe the system need to empower and support new user. If not we will keep seeing them coming and going. Mind you some of this account are not scam account but they find hive eco system been anti new user friendly. I think been anti new user friendly is a method the hive team adopt to make the coin less in circulation and increase it cost value. Let me know what you think in the comment section. New users find it hard to navigate the hive blog because the interface look complex. This discourage new user from setting up hive account or using the platform. No crypto project can grow without having good crypto community.
It's painful when you give your best in creating good content but did not get any upvote, people only upvote you because they are your friends or you are part of their community. I have been lazy to post context here because I don't see value for my time content.

Kindly droop comment I believe much work need to be done so hive may be more better.

As a young mother I find it difficult to write and produce contact on hive, because I don't get support. I am open for your support and donations.

i totally agree with u! I'm a newbie here, and, even though I was invited by my boo, who's been here 4 a long time, I'm completely lost... i don't wanna rely on his help everytime! i wanna grow by myself, but i it seems hard to do so

We just have to keep pushing hard. hive made it complex for new bees. I am still struggling here.

Come over to the Free compliments community.

There's tons of support for new people!

Ask! Lol

I guess that's exactly the point! We would have never known about this community if you hadn't come here and told us. In my POV, if Hive had some kind of 'guide' in the beginning with these steps when we created our accounts, users of web2 would have felt comfortable to really be here. We're not involved with web3! lol

Well we are absolutely supposed to have all of that. And welcome. And I can't wait to see you in the free compliments community as well as more communities!

In fact we've actually got a mental health ambassador program going on. We would love to invite you to those as well!

We are actually rewarding and paying people in lifetime hsbi shares. So that's actually ending up being a really amazing thing.

Really excited to see new people here!

Thanks so much!! I'll take a look at this mental health ambassador program ;)

How can I join your community

Hive is an amazing platform and I can tell you that the more effort you put in the more you get.
They're communities that gives topics to write about every week,so you'd always have something to write about
Checkout hivenaija, hivelearners ,Hiveghana, neoxian, thoughtfuldaily post, minimalist, ladies of hive community for their weekly prompts suggestions. That way you won't run out of things to write about. And it's a contest, the more you participate the more upvotes you get check those communities out and if you're still lost you can ask me some questions
@zeezee25 @xlety

Hive is a bad blogging platform - for you, because you have the wrong expectations from it.

Rather than complaining that you don't gey any support for your effort, why don't you ask yourself what have you done to deserve people's support? Your content is primarily bible study groups where there is little to zero original content creation and is of little interest to the majority on Hive.

You have resorted to plagiarism to write about a topic which I'm guessing is not your area of expertise. You're writing to chase rewards, and failed miserably, adding a black mark to your account.

You say new users lack the Hive power to engage, that's true because Hive works on proof of stake. If new users lack HP they can always ask nicely for delegations, there are many on Hive who are willing to help genuine users while they build up their stake. In fact you could be one of those people if you hadn't withdrawn all your stake. You know how difficult it is as a new user, but all you do is moan. Have you considered helping others? In the past month, you have not cast a single upvote to anyone, but you complain about not getting upvotes. So it's all take and no give for you. You said it yourself "No crypto project can grow without having good crypto community." Why don't you put words into action?

As to support for new users, in your very first post on Hive you were welcomed by many and provided a lot of useful information. You ignored all but one comment. Perhaps if you read the comments and followed the information provided you'll find your Hive experience a lot easier and won't have to moan and beg for support which is what you've been doing from day one.

Hive is not here as your ATM machine to support your daily life. If your prime objective is to earn on Hive, then you're here for the wrong reason. You're better off back on Facebook where you earn zero. You won't be disappointed if you have no expectation.

Thanks for your opinion, it may sound harsh but true. I will work on your advice.

Perfect. Can I share?

Yes you can

Come to the free compliments community and we will teach you how to grow and the majority of opp here online...

Welcome! After you know the secrets it's way easier!

And look up the ladies of hive community...

Have a great day!

Is your community also on discord?

Hmm, I might drop some disagreement on this, but its not like right or wrong, but from some other point of view.

I have used multiple platform for blogging, based on the platform itself, yes it is bad. Honestly I prefer wordpress or Drupal, there were times I used those plaftorm a lot. However if you say bad in term of making money... this is not a simple topic and there are areas I think you should explore first.

In my simplified opinion, if people come to HIVE with the goal, the sole goal, and the ultimate goal is making money online or become rich, they won't survive long... Lets get back to the basic...

  1. Do you like writing / posting?.
  2. Do your posts have capacity to give some value for your reader? Will that pick or bring up any interest on them?
  3. Do you think people might be interested with your posts?
  4. Many more

You can not success by forcing people to acknowledge you, unless you are a whale size HP holder. Try to follow others, learn what they do, what the good on them and avoid to follow or do what bad things they have.

and becareful with what others say, as everyone has their own conditions... I have seen people who get 0 votes for some posts, and someone has $100+ vote on their post, and someone who get $20 everyweek, all cry for not getting support. in a glance those people are in deep need of support, but actually some don't.

anyway one suggestion from me, try to post with topic that the community like... not with what you like... that might be a good start for you from there

It's hard for beginners to succeed on this platform

Facebook and other social media are more better on this.

Facebook and other social media sites are not blogging platforms.
So if Hive is a bad blogging platform:
Name one good blogging platform and explain why it's better.
You definitely can't make more money somewhere else.
That's a guarantee.

It's no secret that onboarding and user retention are a pretty big issue for all platforms, and Hive is no exception due to the extreme complexity of crypto. It's very easy to point out the problems. Not so easy to actually fix them.

Regardless it's disheartening to see so many struggling on the platform.
Curation and distribution are not easy.

When you get little or nothing for your effort you won't want to give your best.

Most people who come to Facebook do so because they already know people who use it. It may be that way with X/Twitter, but since I don't use that platform, I can't say. In the case of Facebook, it's a top-down environment where everyone finds what they need in one place. To a lesser extent, MySpace was the same way.

When it comes to Hive, it's like living where we live. It's easier to get around a town when we know people in that town and when we know where things are. In that situation, we can get used to living in that town after a few days.

On the other hand, if we came to a town where the only people we know are our shadows and reflections, then it can take us a while to find our way around town. It's even more difficult if we aren't familiar with the language or even system of writing. Eventually we figure things out thanks to friends we make along the way, but it takes a while to get to that point. Hive is like this.

Many of our fellow Hivers have published posts which are meant to be guides to people new to Hive. Since these posts are at their respective profile pages, it can take time to find these guides.

As bad as Hive (as a whole) is at onboarding new Hivers and then retaining them, it was much worse when I came here in April 2021. For people like us, it's a matter of trial-and-error in figuring out how to get around here.

After wandering through the Hive wilderness for about 2 months, I discovered a place where people were responsive to my needs and offered me help if I asked for it. The details are different for each of us, but this is usually how things turn out.

Things get better once we begin to engage with others here. We get to know who people are, they get to know who we are, we interact with each other, and along the way we publish content which may (or may not) earn us HIVE, Hive Power, and HBD. Once we get into a groove, we get around faster and do more in less time. But getting into that groove takes a while.

Here's one theory on why Hive is "bad for newbies": It's that way by design in order to weed out those who come here strictly for the cryptocurrency. I have zero proof on this; it's just my theory. However, when this weeding out process is done, the people who stay are the kind of people who want to build a community for themselves and for other like-minded people.

It's never easy for pioneers, and that's what we are at Hive: pioneers. One day Hive will be as newbie-friendly as the Big Tech platforms, but much more has to happen before we get to that point.

Hive not being a new user friendly is one of the major thing affecting it growth. The future is now, web 3 is with us hive team as to adopt new strategy to move the project forward.

Thanks I will check it out

No, you weren't beta testing outpost. The only innovation you could probably ever claim is being part of a test group for a new psychiatric medication. With your luck you'd probably be getting the placebo. But you'd still be claiming to have been the first one in history to have taken a pill of scammerol.
