So many people have been asked this same question but some do not know its impact on their life, some know its usefulness but do not know what they truly possess.
What is in your hands? is only a rhetorical question, it does not mean what you have presently in your hands but it is that innate ability in you or that skill you have acquired through learning. Most youths of today do not know what they truly possess and this had led many down the wrong path.
God has endowed each and everyone of us with a talent and what is talent? According to oxford dictionary, talent is the ability to be very good at something, some people are good in mathematics, some are good in electronics, some are good in making money, some are good reader and some are good writers, all this are talents but it is left for you to figure it out and work towards perfection.
I grew up to understand that people have choices to make, it is either you use your talent in a positive way or a negative way. Most people who used their talents positively end up being successful but note that not all people who use their talent positively are successful and how can you become successful? I will use the word DESTINY as an acronym to buttress my point.
The letter D stands for DETERMINATION
For you to be successful, you must have that zeal to succeed in any circumstances, you must have that feeling of YES, I CAN DO IT and YES, I MUST GET THERE.
The letter E stands for EXCELLENCE
And what is excellence? it is the ability to be extremely good at something.
The letter S stands for SELF-CONFIDENCE
For you to be successful, you must have that confidence in yourself and in your ability.
The letter T stands for TIME
For you to be successful, you must avoid procrastination.
The letter I stands for IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE
And how can you acquire in-depth knowledge? through education.
The letter N stands for NICE
Be nice to people around you, you never can tell what the future holds.
And finally Y stands for YOU
An adage says "your worst enemy is yourself", you are the main source of your destination, the choice is yours to make and with God anything is possible.
