Michael Landon (born Eugene Maurice Orowitz; October 31, 1936 – July 1, 1991) was an American actor, writer, director, and producer. He is known for his roles as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza (1959–73), Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie (1974–83), and Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven (1984–89). Landon appeared on the cover of TV Guide 22 times, second only to Lucille Ball.

Little House on the Prairie, that's an old one. I used to watch it when I was a kid.

Today's quote from him is great.

“Whatever you want to do, do it now.
There are only so many tomorrows.”

The time is always now.

The best time for you to start a dream or goal is now.

We never know what will happen tomorrow.

Ideas and goals also have a way of fading over time as well.

In fact, when you have an idea it is best to take some type of action on that idea within 48 hours.

After 48 hours that idea will start to lose strength and begin to spiral downward and out of existence.

You can revive old ideas, however it is much more difficult and weaker at first to revive them vs. acting right away on something.

You gain the greatest benefit from acting as early as possible or immediately on an idea.

Pondering an idea too long can also create a stagnant energy.

Thinking Think about it pondering.jpg

While it is good to think about an idea to formulate a plan, there is a tipping point.

A point where your planning has turned into inaction.

At this point your idea will also start to dwindle.

It will begin to fade an lose potency.

However, when we act on an idea while the moment is still hot we get amazing results!

Amazing results growth focus.jpg

First of all your energy in that moment is very high.

This makes your attraction to your idea much greater.

In turn making the fulfillment and achievement of this idea come quicker and be greater as well.

If you find yourself thinking about an idea to much you will actually feel it begin to lose power.

You will also feel it slipping away if you just don't take action.

So, the key is to jump when you get the impulse.

When that urge is pulling you toward something great, do not hesitate.

Someday never comes...

There is only today.

Remember,

“Whatever you want to do, do it now.
There are only so many tomorrows.”

Don't know what you mean by RS but I'll take it!

Thanks man!

RS..Resteem 😎

haha, shoulda guessed that. I looked at it before i commented and was like, I really should know this.

Thanks a million bro!

This is a fantastic post. It is so true about pondering an ideas too long and acting as early as possible. We are super intelligent if we allow ourselves to access it. We usually have the best answer immediately but have patterns of second guessing, evaluating, and what not which creates so much confusion. Keeping a empty mind to allow ideas, answers, and discover yourself does create such a beautiful flow to life.

What a wonderful way to word that.

You are absolutely right!

Thanks!

Excellent inspiration my brother, I really like the themes you choose, great greetings from venezuela

It really depends. I have a quite adventurous life (I am Italian living in different Asian countries since 6 years), which forces me to make decisions continously. Before to make a choice, which I do very often (change a job, change of country), I do really need to ponder a lot, sometimes I overthink it. Sometimes I am just not ready for it and I have to discuss within myself and adjust my mind to it as "preparation" to be brave and change things.
Thank you for your post!

Pondering is a super important part. Planning is very key.

I think there is a balance. We need to plan it out and still act while the idea has power.

Solid Monday motivation right there 🙌🏼💪🏼💯

yup yup, thanks bro!

lovely life lessons

Og Mandino, one of my favorite inspirational writers, said frequently that he had seen many calendars, looked over the names of the days thoroughly, and never saw a day named "tomorrow."

Less than two weeks ago I attended the funeral of a close relative. Events like that remind us that tomorrow might not happen for us. Carpe Diem!

Who cares if we act on an idea immediately and friends and relatives accuse us of being "impulsive"! While they accuse. . .we achieve!

Very well said! I completely agree!

I have some good quotes from Og that I will share in future posts.

You know another day I never see in a calender...

Someday

:)

Yes indeed, there is no "Someday."

Nor is there a "When the Time is Ripe" day.

Daniel Webster: "He who waits until the time is right often waits until it is rotten."

Nice quote, and so true. The time is never "right". The time is now.

A related favorite saying:

Benjamin Franklin: "Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, because that is the stuff life is made of."

a great quote! I really like that one!

I have a few Ben Quotes.

That one is getting added to my collection.

Ben Franklin's autobiography is well worth reading, even though the reader has to wade through some archaic language.

How did my interest in time management start? In the early 1980s time management caught my attention when I heard a program about managing our time more effectively. The changes I made in my habits were so beneficial I started writing articles on how to maximize our hours.

The very first paid presentation I ever made was for the Macon, GA Chamber of Commerce--giving time management tips. The Chamber paid me $50.

Fortunately, my speaking engagements after that included a substantial increase in speaking fees!

Excellent quote. Good to remember.

Aww. His my altime favorite actor, so humble and wise😊

Little house on the prairie was my favorite TV show and loved Laura but Charles were my favorite so wise and good hearted.
I didn't know he wrote but so true about time.
We waist way too much time on thinking instead of doing.
That step to make things happen some seem big. I have been that person who wanted a lot of things dreaming but never acted.
Life is to Precious to wait around and not do what makes you happy and to do the thing you are passionate for 😉 acting on your dreams makes a happy life.
Great post and a pleasure reading.
Can't belive I haven't seen your inspiring post before.. Lol

Thank you!

Acting on it is so key.

I don't remember his name, but my favorite from little house was the uncle or friend or whatever that would only show up every so often. Usually singing the "Old Man Tucker" song. lol

I've been a wandering spirit my whole life so I guess it's fitting.

I think his name was Edward? He was a sweetheart 😊 I belive that you are, kind spirit
