Today is the vote day for the 2018 Hong Kong Legislative Council (LegCo) by-election for 4 vacancies in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Island, Kowloon West and New Territories East geographical constituencies and the Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape functional constituency. The by-election comes after the disqualification of 6 pro-democracy and localist Legislative Council over the 2016 oath-taking controversy.
To me both the pro-democracy and pro-CCP government LegCo Members, the pro-democracy they are always pretend to against CCP government they don't really want to bring down the government or create a revolution to make changes. All they want is staying at this "pretending we are against the government" stage as long as possible because being a LegCo Members they will get a lot of money.
For the pro-CCP government LegCo Members, they have no free will, they just need to listen to the CCP government and press the "Yes" button while voting.
Hong Kong is a weird place. Truly, you don't want to vote the pro-CCP background people as the LegCo Members so they tend to vote someone who is not pro-CCP so it is pro-democracy. But those pro-democracy people they are keep betraying Hong Kong people by fighting the benefit for the newcomer from China, all the LegCo members from the Democratic Party declared their support towards the listing of The Link REIT as scheduled, vote "Yes" for the HK$67 billion fund approval of the high-speed railway linking Hong Kong with Guangzhou.
If you vote none, people will say you are supporting the CCP government. Because those pro-democracy are the only tiny remaining power to against the CCP government.
So......this is Hong Kong.
