GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER - PAPA-PEPPER INTERVIEWS FREEDOMPOINT

in #interview6 years ago

As I travel and meet other steemians, I will try to interview them as well.

Not only will this give @papa-pepper a great opportunity to learn more about them, but it will give you all a chance to either "meet" them or learn more about them.

If you’ve seen a whole pile of my interviews with various steemain homesteaders from Missouri, you’ve got @freedompoint to thank for that. He lured me up there with a couple of knives and then introduced me to a bunch of the local steemians up there!

@Papa-Pepper Interviews @FreedomPoint

For those of you who don't already know, this is the same @freedompoint who's married to @freedomtowrite, makes custom knives, and recently chauffeured @papa-pepper around Missouri on a tour of homesteading steemains!

Yeah, that guy!

If you like what you've seen, please consider thanking @freedompoint for allowing me to interview him and give him a follow to see what he's up to.

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Can’t ask for more.
Happy to know your story
Keep on steemin’

A couple of things that I liked in this video:

  1. I liked Yeti's response to, "So how did you guys end up here? Prayer." Before you make a decision, bring it to God first.
  2. I like that he wanted to find a homestead in the wilderness. I think it's important too.
  3. I dig the necker knives. I have the Tops M1 Sub Compact. I love it! I've really been getting into getting cool "bushcraft" type gear.
  4. I dig that Yeti made those cool little neck knives.

Eventually, I'd like to make my own Kydex sheaths because the ones I have suck. Thanks for the intro @papa-pepper!

Hey thanks! I give all the glory to God. I am also glad you liked these knives. I am finishing up a series of posts about how I made these!

SWEEEEEEET!!!!! I WANNA SEE!!!! I mean...ehem...yes. I'd like to see that, please.

Awww, the Yeti and his lovely woman! I love these two! They are what I refer to as soulmates!

Michigan? We could have been neighbors! But let me remind you... winters are AWFUL!

GREAT interview!

Nice, thank you! I do love that woman!

Yeah, we are thinking cold and snowy will be our future. Michigan seemed like we would need alot of skills we didn't have yet.

Yeah, somehow they think aweful winters will be fun....

Well, as a lifelong Michigan resident, who just had a snowstorm last Friday (9 inches of snow- yippee!) then an ice storm yesterday morning and finally, got my car stuck in the driveway earlier and had to dig it out... I'm looking to move south... FAR south. I've had ALL the fun I can muster up this winter.

Awww thanks @goldendawne! I like to think we're soulmates too!

Love your post(s)...so...upvoted!

I am very interested in your submission @papa-pepper

the Post @papa-pepper is always about Homesteanding. but I do not understand Homesteanding. Help me to explain it. because in my country there is also Homesteading like @papa-pepper do. Thank you

Homesteading is a lifestyle that adopts ways to be more self sufficient. Most of us decided to move to the country and raise our own animals and crops instead of relying on grocery stores. Alot of homesteaders also wish to produce their own power and water instead of relying on a city infrastructure.

Not to mention grow some sort of wild hair or facial hair haha

Can I bearded. because I am a woman he he he he he. Thank You @freedompoint

Thank you @armadill0creek. you have explained well

The man featured in the interview is a homesteader on steemit and it is a lifestyle that we share.

Thank you @papa-pepper Success for you

its amazing.....

My first thought about steemit was a platform although meeting people online, then again after seeing some meet up and facial interviews then I have to change my thinking, truly i most say that this is indeed a nice idea.

A lot of my real life friends I've met on steemit!

It's really fun getting to meet people you enamor on steemit community, trust me I will love to see you in face.

You are doing a wonderful service!!!!
-cheers-

I'm becoming a huge fan. I've been just lurking for awhile and taking it all in. Love these interviews!!!
You are so lucky to have a close nit group of fellow homesteaders. I'm on the east coast surrounded by city slickers. lol
But I do my best to stack my silver, prep for the worst and keep my "defense" shiny and ready.
You are really entertaining. I can see why people are drawn to these posts. Gonna check out the "freedom...." couple. Cool peeps! : )

Cool! Glad to hear and I appreciate you letting me know!

i really appreciate what you are always doing for the betterment of this steemit community..we want more people like you here :)

Awww this is so nice @papa-pepper wish you can interview from our country too #Philippines ❤️❤️❤️ 😊

Perhaps one day!

Great interview... nice outdoor location! I guess there's no going back after you've traded your neck tie for a neck knife!

Lol, no turning back!

Man, that was alot of fun! I really enjoyed your visit and meeting you. I look forward to our next get together!

Congratulations mister @papa-pepper, you are very successful in your publications because these are simple and very inspiring. I hope that your initiatives to help others who venture into steemit without so much success, is also that successful. Blessings from above for you and your family.

This was great! Thank you.

I really liked how The Yeti says that prayer brought him to his current spot.

I’m having doubts about living where I do (South Africa) and the discussion has come up whether we should leave or stay, but we have decided to stay put until we hear from God. So this was like a mini confirmation that we are doing the right thing!

I also liked your interview with
@vcelier very much !

Steem on! 💓

that knife in the last picture is pretty awesome, is there a post about that?

Not yet from me, but @freedompoint is going through a series on how he made them.

I love how you guys pushed through not knowing much about how to post or using HTML code and still saw the value and opportunity in it. Great interview.

Looks like a beautiful peace of land. I have never heard of a neck knife. Nice!

Yeah, there was toouch potential for us not to try to learn and figure things out. Thanks!

In total today, I might spend more than eight hours just walking around. Thankfully, "Yeti" from @freedompoint volunteered to drive me around a local tour of various steemian homesteads in the area. After spending some time with @freedompoint and his wife @ freedomtowrite, we stopped by to visit @borrowedearth.

Lemme know if you ever head up to southern Indiana! I know I'm just a noob on here, but ya gotta start somewhere! I would have been here sooner if I had know about this place.

Sounds good!

Man the body of your community building work here is impressive. You've mastered the one thing that is hardest for many of us, you seem to be genuinely yourself without edifice. I treasure that. Anyway, wanted to stop by and say thanks for your support, and return the favor with a small upvote. Thanks! @markrmorrisjr

Thanks man. Keep doing what you're doing too. You're helping a lot of people with your efforts.

Yeah, if I get a few of my financial supporters back, I'll keep it up as long as I can. LOL, funny how people talk about everyone needing to help, but they miss their cue on the upvotes. LOL

So great to see Steemer's connecting 💯🐒

excelente amigo tu publicación, tienes una nueva seguidora y también mi voto saludos.

You guys are awesome. It looks like you are near the Ozarks. There used to be some great music coming from there.

You definitely get a lot of experience by interviewing some friends in steemit, thank you for sharing it to us all to know some different experiences.

This is an inspiration - kudos @papa-pepper

You really doing a nice thing there. Knowing steemians from the hook and cranny of the steemit world. Keep the good works @papa-pepper

My boyfriend and I think this is so cool and we're watching some of them now. I wonder how many people near me Steem and I have no clue... interesting. Thanks for posting!

I really liked this interview! The Yeti is a very interesting fellow, like most homesteaders! We are a unique breed with many interests and are never boring...
