Good afternoon steemians, may you guys in good health wal'afiat ..
Well, this time I want to introduce myself to all my friends. Because there is the term "Do not know then no love" Well, from that term then so meaningful a name.
If anyone asks me "What is your name" I replied "My name is Faziel Jealson, commonly called *Jealson". I come from Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, Indonesia.
While my daily activities become a writer or commonly known journalist, since I was still studying high school (SMA) I already feel interested to become a Journalist. Even every introduction to the school room, I always convey the ideals want to be a journalist.
My wish was embedded to continue the college at the campus of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Lhokseumawe, Aceh Province. At that time, I took the Communication Department to learn more about journalism, during the learning process on campus and even found my soul to write.
However, my curiosity towards the journalist world did not stop there (Campus), but I also deepened the science of journalism on the exterior of the campus Basri Daham Journalist Institute (BJI) founded by the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Lhokseumawe, Aceh. So this is where I really called the soul to become a professional journalist, but the process of learning in the school did not last long, only lasted eman (6) months and included apprenticeship.
Well, when apprentice stage. Mentor assigned me to one of the national online media (Indonesia) for five months. When the apprenticeship is a lot of bitter story that I passed, first time plunged into the world of journalists to cover the events that occurred in the region. At that time, I was under the control of media editors to cover the field, every task my editor gave me was always working on it.
Experience first covers news, it's like a blind man who does not know where he's going. Because in addition to the lack of understanding of the procedures of coverage, also the main obstacle is writing techniques that have not fully understood. After covering the field by obtaining complete data from trusted sources, then I faltered not know how to write it to become a news that can be consumed public.
As a result, the coverage assigned by the editor certainly can not be aired quickly, when I always get a call from the editor with the tone of speech a little hard. Asked the editor to me "Where are you now, why do not you send me the news" and when I was a little shaking with fear, I replied "News I have wrapped bang, I just confused do not know how to write" of course my answer This is very innocent, and the editor replied again "You write aja keep in accordance with existing data, then let me stacking sentences or news content" I also replied "Yeah, good bang" and the editor returned mejawab "Okay, I wait, do not long ".
That's how much bitter experience I experienced during my apprenticeship in the mass media, it was a bit loud. But that is one way of discipline so that a journalist will get used to working fast. It was not to suppress a journalist in the sense of being under duress, it turned out to be a valuable science for me.
After I finished my internship in the media for five months, then I got good news from my editor. One day I received a short message via SMS from the editor, the contents of the message "Are you interested to write in this media, if interested please send your CV or personal data into my email". Of course this is very encouraging news for me, this is what I have been waiting for, thanks to the hard struggle I finally could officially write in one of the national media well-known in Indonesia, a sense of fun even though it can not be expressed in words.
Finally until now I officially become a professional journalist. However, of course there are still many things that still need to be studied more deeply about the science of journalism.
Besides, I have also been a broadcasting in one of the private radios of Lhokseumawe City, Aceh. I dabbled into this broadcasting world when I got an apprenticeship from my campus for two months, when I learned a lot about how to get the right broadcast. Why I am learning about broadcasting, because it is part of my soul and interest in the world of mass media, between journalists and broadcasting my only goal is to convey information to the public in factual and reliable, also want to educate the public through my writing and delivery via broadcast radio.
Over time, after doing the internship job on the radio. Then, I again get an offer from the radio director to continue my activities there, I did not reject it. I had been a radio broadcaster for about two years, when there was a radio talk show, I also co-hosted the event, the radio presented reliable speakers such as public officials and other prominent figures in Aceh province. This is a very valuable experience that money can not buy, much science I can get, because what we did not know beforehand, that's when our mind will open slowly by itself.
However, in the end my activity as a radio broadcaster is hampered, because many tasks in journalism world that I have to finish. So I was having a hard time dividing the time to move on the radio, finally I asked permission to the director of the radio where I work to rest for a moment, with a sense of the director's understanding towards me, so he agreed to stop me.
