What a beautiful opportunity has come to me! Not a "social network" but a platform to create quality content, celebrating the plurality of opinions and fostering the science of thought. My name is Jorge Martinez, Venezuelan, lover of quality reading and with delusions of writer; From a very young age my parents taught me that the greatest inheritance they would ever leave me would be the studies they could give me ... in truth, more than an inheritance, a legacy.
They prepared my heart for the letters, and unwittingly wanting to lay a solid foundation upon which my family rests; Though the truth of the truth is that all this structure stands firm because the Eternal is our Helper. I consider myself a visitor in the present, because I decided to live in the future to bring to the present the design of life that God has for everyone; Something like this, saving the distances, like a "coaching life".
Many see a gloomy picture in my beautiful Venezuela, or "VeneSUEÑA", as I usually say; I did not, I saw in the future a beautiful and restored country, and I dared to dream; For my wife, for my daughter, for those around me, for those who dream, as I do. One day, we will not be more disgraceful in the nations, we will not be "VeneSUELA", that part of the shoe that everybody treads until wearing it, but we can say "Venysueña"; My country will once again be a land of dreamers.
That is why I value a platform like Steemit, because our voices can be heard to the ends of the earth, without fear of repression, without censorship; Simply respecting the plurality of human thought whether it agrees or not. Today, in this article of presentation, I am the voice of Venezuela; But you too can be the voice of your country, of the oppressed, of the one who suffers, because let's not fool ourselves, the struggle of my country is not only that of Venezuelans, but all nations of the world must be seen in this mirror That tomorrow are not the Argentines, or Chileans, or Mexicans, Peruvians, Brazilians, who must face similar social struggles.
More than a "I like", or a "follow me", our opinion, our voice, is our weapon; It's my AK-47, it's my assault rifle; Steemit allows me to be, if you like, a "sniper" of ideas. Each phrase, every article, is a piece of sand for this community to make its voice heard in the world and keep alive the flame of hope, the good news that day by day, in countries like mine, are more sought after than Bread flour, sugar, and even diapers.
I was convinced that the battles of the future will not be with chemical or nuclear weapons, even if it seems so; The weapons of mass destruction will be the ideas, it will be a battle of ideas promoted mainly by the so-called "social networks", a technological war where the ability to express clear and strong voice, with clarity of thoughts, will become an invaluable advantage.
That is why I am making Steemit my family, my curull partners, and I am glad that there are still voices rising up for the truth; Telling a story not with a beautiful photo or with an intelligent phrase product of some "cut and paste" from google, but with the very experiences of our day to day and hoping that, perhaps, someone else can serve you. I really enjoy your post and I believe that you and I share similar views and opinions about this platform and what it means for the world. We have more access to information than ever before and it's important that we use that access to enlighten others.
I'm sorry that your country and it's citizens are facing such hardship but your optimism is encouraging. More than that, your desire to use social media and SteemIt as a way to spread your message of hope is inspirational. I will be following you from now on and I sincerely hope that as time goes on I can find some way to positively influence your cause. Even if it's just by Upvoting and Resteeming your posts so that they reach more people.

Well said @atlas2020 . The situation in Venezuela is awful and I'm sure that the 'World' would have stepped in to ease the suffering of the people if not for the criminals in DC and London. Hopefully Cryptocurrencies and blockchain platforms like Steemit can one day help to ease the suffering and rid us of the need for these parascitic sociapaths that desire to 'lead' us.
