I too struggled with "who's going to care what I have to say" here on steemit, it can be hard having no experience blogging for an audiance to come to grips with something like this.
But people DO seem to care, I get recognition for my efforts and more response every day! Quite a boost to the self esteem and helps me come out of my shy shell and want to share even more :)
My advice is to just be you and post about what you're in to, and you will find a community of like minded folk that cant wait to hear from you <3
