I introduce myself,
Aura Kinti, a traveler without borders, a little wandering bird.
My voice guides me, my body carries me.
I love freedom and authenticity.
I’ve been away from my family and childhood friends for years, but I find a little piece of them in every character who walks beside me.
I left to fulfill childhood dreams and to search for myself.
Ecuador is the fertile land of my heart. For years now, I’ve been dancing with its waves and singing with its waterfalls.
What am I doing here?
“Write,” said my friend Andres Meno.
I showed him a notebook I carried in my bag. I’ve been writing for over ten years, and every time I leave a place, I burn my notebooks.
So here I am, grateful for this new space, new path, and new encounters.

Mi voz me guía, mi cuerpo me lleva.
Amo la libertad y la autenticidad.
Llevo años lejos de mi familia y de los amigos de la infancia pero encuentro una partecita de ellos en cada personaje que me acompaña.
Me fui a cumplir sueños de niña y a la búsqueda de mi misma.
Ecuador es la tierra fértil de mi corazón. Hace unos años que bailo entre sus olas y canto con sus cascadas.
Que hago aquí?
“Escribe” me dijo mi amigo Andres Meno.
Le mostre un cuaderno que llevaba en el bolso. Hace mas de 10 años que escribo y cada vez que me voy de un lugar quemo mis cuadernos.
Entonces aquí, agradecida por este nuevo espacio, nuevo camino y nuevos encuentros.

Ma voix me guide, mon corps me porte.
J’aime la liberté et l’authenticité.
Cela fait des années que je suis loin de ma famille et des mes amis d’enfance, mais je retrouve un petit bout d’eux dans chaque personnage qui accompagne ma route.
Je suis partie réaliser des rêves d’enfant et à la recherche de moi-même.
L’Équateur est la terre fertile de mon cœur. Depuis quelques années, je danse avec ses vagues et je chante avec ses cascades.
Que fais-je ici ?
« Écris », m’a dit mon ami Andres Meno.
Je lui ai montré un carnet que je portais dans mon sac. Cela fait plus de dix ans que j’écris, et chaque fois que je quitte un lieu, je brûle tous mes carnets.
Alors me voilà, reconnaissante pour ce nouvel espace, ce nouveau chemin et ces nouvelles rencontres.
Que chevere amiga... me encanta que te animastes a hacer esta publicacion. Como te decia. Aqui escribe lo que quieras. Canciones, poesia, cartas a ti misma, lo que tu quieras. Es un diario indestructible. Yo tengo 8 anios aca, no sabemos las cantidades de veces que viajo en el tiempo leyendo quien yo era cuando aun no tenia canas.

I burned my notebooks once upon a time. I regret that. But now, when I look back at my 9 or more years of writing here, I sometimes regret that too :)
Life is nothing if not regret at our present selves not being able to guide our past selves, so I just now, try to guide my future self.
