Hello, I am excited to join this community and build friendships.
This is my first social media outreach. Always intrigued by the previous social media platforms, I never joined because of many things, but mostly because "If your not paying for the service, then you're not the customer"
Learning about Steem is a task in and of itself, and I have a lot to learn.
What I think Steemit is:
I think it is a community of people that interact freely with each other.
Free exchange...knowledge is wealth and everyone gains.
I think (not sure) that it is uncensorable.
A communication platform that can change the world. Break the chains.
What I expect from Seemit:
To meet people... people different from me...people similar to me.
Gain friends.
Learn
It would be nice to make money, but I don't expect to.
If it cost money and/or effort to gain friends and learn, then so be it.

Still trying to figure it out. Enjoying the experience. Live simply. Travel.
I have sailed over 10,000 miles, visiting 16 countries on a small modest old wooden sailboat.
I am very happily married
Some of my favorite activities are: racing anything, boat building, mechanics, skateboarding, linux cli, homesteading, crypto, sewing, contemplating why.
Looking forward to sharing my knowledge, experiences, and ideas.

I've built my dinghy and several other dinghies (small boats), also lots of repairs big and small.
When I settled down in the future, I intend to build boats.

I'm not a bot, I was answering the 2 bot with answers similar to yours, they are 2 funny bots, I did not expect a negative reaction from that, rather it was fun, I'm sorry if I feel bad, it's not my style feel bad to someone else was to welcome you in a funny way and those bot if you read what they say are a real joke are very funny, try to talk to them and they will tell you really strange things.
really what caught my attention in your welcome post is that it was fun since you are the first one that I see going into steemit with a selfie under water so I deduced that you were a fun person and wanted to join the fun, it's just that, not to bother.
If I bothered you I apologize but I would like you to understand my position.

also when a post is full of comments that attracts people out of curiosity I think it is a way to help some posts are full of comments and attract the crowd, logically there is always someone who does not understand what is happening and can react like you at the beginning when you do not know what it is, but if you take it for the fun side you are really helping to have a post full of comments and attracting the curious.

Its like when we were young and we wished we could have a neighborhood with just all of our friends living there .... well , I've always wanted that haha

This is one huge neighborhood.
I have never been able to keep in touch with more than a few friends (people that are physically near) at one time, so this place is challenge.
Steemit makes it possible for me to befriend alot of people; <-That, and affordable Internet in remote places :)
Haha yeah this neighborhood is HUGE. And unlike other ones, i seem to meet people from different countries much easier .... interesting to see where this will go
