Hello Steemians,
I've been around for about 2 weeks. I initially made an intro post.......but it sucks. I just flashed some pics of my family and didn't really introduce myself. So I'd like to formally reintroduce myself.
My name is Joe. I just turned 38 and live in Missouri. I grew up in Connecticut but I've lived out here for 17-18 years. My beautiful wife and I have been married for 7 years. I knew that off the top of my head, no calander or math on my fingers. We have a 7 yr old son and a 3 yr old daughter.
My profile says I'm a construction worker. That's not entirely accurate. I set up work zones for road construction. I install advanced warning signs, close lanes, close roads, etc. Basically, I create a safe environment for workers by providing space between them and traffic, and by giving drivers advanced warning of the construction ahead. Technically, I do traffic control but if I said that's what I do most people think along the lines of police officer controlling traffic. It is a very physical and dangerous job made even more dangerous by distracted drivers (i have a post coving this issue) but I get to work outside, the scenery changes daily and it pays decent.
Outside of work, I like to play with my children. Nerf wars, tea parties, hide and seek are a few of the go to activities. Video games are thrown in occasionally. I don't really have an hobbies. I like to fix stuff around the house when the mood strikes.
My username is something Ive used forever. I've been a Yankee fan since I can remember. They are also known as the Bronx Bombers. The B-17 is a heavy bomber plane. Bronxb17=Bronx Bombers.
