Surviving engineer in Venezuela

Hello everyone in this Steemitera community (will it be said like that?). I am Carlos Yuabe and as a mechanical engineer, I face the challenge of living in Venezuela every day and not die trying. Living in my beautiful country has been transformed into a hard struggle to get the job that allows to maintain a certain quality of life, without luxuries, with the minimum to continue battling for something better.

Wow, I did not start with the basics, just with the complaints, hahaha. I was born in Caracas. I am 48 years old (some will say that I am a grandpa but not). I'm married to Licibel Lopez (another survivor like me) and I have a beautiful daughter named Maria Franchesca. They accompany me in my daily life.

Here we are the three although, Franchesca is already in the university studying Nursing and in the picture he has his school uniform!

I love reading. I have read works by Garcia Marquez, Perez Galdos, Erich Fromm, Bertold Brecht, Romulo Gallegos, Krishnamurti, Anthony de Mello, Juan Rulfo, Cervantes, Vargas Llosa, among many others. Also books about the UFO phenomenon, Life after Life, Past Cultures. I also love movies. But, a good movie, not those movies where there is a divorce between the script, the acting and the direction. The genres that I like are those of action, drama, suspense, terror (but the terror that frosts the blood) In this time, I enjoyed the Marvel movies and DC comics because they were the stories of superheroes with whom I grew up ( yes, like I'm a little grandpa).

I have had pet dogs and cats and, if you ask me, I like cats more. I do not know, that indifference in the deal, that almost inexpressive face. Although it is a very intelligent animal and self sufficient, it is very affectionate

My favorite hobbies are video games on the PC, especially those of war and shooter type.

I would like this Steemit environment, in which I am getting involved, to allow me to meet other people who, like me, have the same concerns about how to survive day by day in Venezuela. Hyper inflation, low production and scarcity of food at reasonable prices make it difficult for all of us equally. If you ask me, why do not I go to another country ?, the truth is that I do not want to leave here until exhausting all possible alternatives. Therefore, I have ventured little by little into the world of cryptocurrencies, which is shown as an alternative to the low purchasing power of the Venezuelan currency.

Well, that's a light flash of who I am. I await your comments on this, if they are Venezuelans who, like me, suffer the same. Or if they are people who know some interesting alternative in the world of cryptocurrencies that I can share. For my part, if you need any advice in the field of mechanical engineering (air conditioning, pumping, gas, clay and concrete block factories, asphalt plants) here you can ask me and I will gladly answer. I hope your comments soon.

Hello carybe1969! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
