Hi fellow Steemians! Please let me introduce myself :)

Hi Steemit community!

It's my first time to ever write a blog and I can say that I'm really nervous about the reactions of other people on this. I am just used to posting pictures in Facebook and I am not actually a good storyteller so bear with me please.. Ok, so here it goes...

My full name's Florame Q. Gracias. I am actually 42 years old already and a mother of two sons. My first born just turned 18 last year and is already in Senior High School (Grade 12). My second, on the other hand, is still in junior high (Grade 8). I am also married to a man named Romulo A. Gracias for already 19 years and our relationship is still staying strong hehe.. Here's a pic of me with my family which was taken just this new year's eve.

I was first introduced to this social media platform just the other day. I was introduced by Mr. @ruah and my son, @tiangracias. My son pushed me to make a steemit account because according to him, this is a better platform to post everything I want and little did I know, steemit is really amazing. Mr. @ruah, on the other hand, thought my son how to create an account and told him to post first an introduceyourself blog.

Now, I'll tell you a little background of myself.

I am originally born in a small barrio in Lagtang, Alubijid, in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Mindanao Island of the country, Philippines. I was born in a poor but rich in good values family. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish my studies due to financial problems, only up to high school and a vocational course. I was 17 (year 1992) when I first went to the capital of the Philippines to try my luck as a saleslady (in short, tindera haha) in a RTW store in Makati. I started to work as a school helper in Montessori Children's House in Antipolo where I also met the love of my life (yiee). Here's a picture of me and my husband :)

I currently still work as a teacher's aid in the said school, as a non-teaching staff benefit, my sons are also currently studying as a scholar. My mother actually dreamt of me being a teacher, in the end I just became a teacher's aid (haha). Luckily, with all the hardships that I experienced in my life, God showered me two bright sons who are both excelling in their academics. Here's a pic of some of their awards: (one proud mom here!)

My friends and coworkers knew me as "Meme" (which is pronounced as "Mimi"). One of the things that they always say about me is that my own version of Maja Maize (milk pudding) is one of a kind (which I will share with all of you some time in the future). My hobbies include cooking, facebook-ing (haha, which might be changed now to steemit-ing), smartphone photography, and gardening. It's actually my dream to have my ownbig garden in which my pet cats can run freely. I actually love animals and I how I wish I could adopt every stray cat I see in the street. That's it for a short background of my life. Hope you had a glimpse of who I am and be interested to the not really extravagant life I have that I will share in my account.
