How I Landed in Hive
I think that it's time to tell the history of how I came to here. It was mid August of 2018, when I found Steemit. I had not clue about the world of the crypto, beyond what I heard about Bitcoin and not much more. I got fascinated at fact, felt in love with the idea behind Steemit. So a place where people can share their creations and stories, and get rewarded for it. That opened a new world of possibilities for artists and content content creators, a world of freedom outside the rusty bonds of classical economy, where freedom of speech is not censored anymore. So I started to spent countless hours digging and lurking in the place, trying to understand the mechanics of such unique place.
Creo que ya es hora de contar la historia de como he llegado aquí. Era el año 2018, a mediados de Agosto cuando descubrí
Steemit. Yo no sabía nada del mundo de la crypto, más allá de la existencia del Bitcoin y poco más. De inmediato quedé fascinado, me enamoré de la idea detrás deSteemit. Existia un lugar donde la gente podía publicar sus creaciones e historias, y ser recompensados por ello. Eso abría un mundo de posibilidades para los artistas y otros creadores, un mundo de libertad al margen de la oxidada economía clásica, y donde la libertad de expresión no está censurada. Así que me puse a investigar de inmediato, y estuve incontables horas tratando de entender el funcionamiento de tan singular lugar.
Sadly I'm a dreamer, so what I found after lurk some weeks, was tons of spam, huge rings of farmers, bid-bots, most of the whales circle jerking like beasts...the place had been exploited in every possible way. Meanwhile, the artists and content producers had been totally abandoned, they were earning a few cents for all their hard work. Revenge flags were more than usual too. So not much freedom of speech, nor a very different model than the nowadays world one. The more powerful ones, were plotting with/against each other, just trying to grab the biggest slice of the pie. So I had clear that a new user like me, without any big friend in the place, had not any chance of do some progress there.
Por desgracia soy un soñador, y lo que encontré después de varias semanas indagando, fueron toneladas de spam, enormes grupos de farmers, bid-bots, la mayoría de ballenas votándose entre ellas a lo salvaje... la plataforma había sido explotada de todas las formas posibles y más. Mientras tanto, los artistas y creadores de contenido, estaban ganando unos pocos céntimos por todo su duro trabajo. Las banderas por venganza eran el pan de cada día. Así que a la práctica, ni mucha libertad de expresión, ni un modelo económico distinto al del mundo de hoy en día. Los más poderosos, estaban siempre con complots unos con/contra otros, intentando llevarse la porción más grande del pastel. Me quedó claro que un usurio nuevo como yo, sin ningún amigo con peso en el lugar, no tenía ninguna posibilidad de progresar.
But I was still in love with the main idea behind such mess, so tried my luck in some Steemit clones, without much success. Those places were just a bluff. But I learnt a lot of things, and made friends, and some enemies as well. I was curator, manager in a community, cleaner, and some another roles. So at end it was an enriching experience. Meanwhile I still had an eye in Steemit.
La cosa es que yo seguía enamorado de la idea destrás de tal desastre, así que probé suerte en varías copías de
Steemit, sin ningún éxito. Esas plataformas son un engaño. Pero aprendí muchas cosas, hice amigos, y también algunos enemigos. Fui curador, manager de una comunidad,"cleaner" y algunas otras cosas. Así que al final fue una experiencia enriquecedora. Mientras tanto, no quite ojo deSteemit.
Many things improved there, since that summer from two years ago. Bid-bots were dismantled, and big chunk of the spam and farmer rings as well. Even the artist and content producers began to get better rewards in their posts. Still was many stuff to improve, as the internal fights continued, and one of the creators of the place was one of the main problems of the place, and some more stuff. even I made an account. But there was a lack of something that, without it, there is not any chance to success. A spoiled rich kid coming to screw us. Seriously, sounds like a joke but is the truth. Steemit needed a common goal, that could make everybody put out the conflicts and the greed aside. And then, what it was an attempt to save Steemit, became something even better. The genesis of HIVE.
Community's reply to Justin Sun attack made me want to join it at fact.
Muchas cosas mejoraron ahí, desde el verano de hace dos años. Se acabó con los bid-bots, con gran parte del spam y los grupos de farmers. Incluso los artistas y creadores de contenido empezaron a recibir mejores recompensas en sus obras. Había mucho por mejorar, pues seguían habiendo muchas disputas internas así como la propia actitud de uno de los creadores del lugar, y unas cuantas cosas más. Incluso llegué a hacerme una cuenta. Pero faltaba algo sin lo que no hay ninguna posibilidad de éxito. Un niño rico malcriado como Justin Sun, viniendo a joderlo todo. Puede sonar a broma pero lo digo en serio.
Steemitnecesitaba un objetivo común, que hiciera que todas las partes en conflicto, dejaran las disputas y la avaricia a un lado. Lo que fue el principio, un intento de salvarSteemit, acabó siendo algo aún mejor. El nacimiento de HIVE.La reacción de la comunidad me hizo querer participar de inmediato.
What I'm Doing Here
I consider the content one of the main pillars of HIVE, we are on a platform that is based in the content provided by the authors around. Take care of the content, and reward properly the authors is a must. So one of the first things I made, around two months ago, was to join @curangel. I have choosen @pharesim's curation project, because is one of the most honest projects in HIVE, and share the same interest in reward good content, specially the one of those who has been forgotten for other projects. A fair spread for the rewards, is a win-win for everybody. If you want to know more about Curangel, you can take a look on our webpage and/or read this post written by @azircon. Note that the post is a bit outdated, so please ignore the part about the Downvote Tool. But still an excellent post to know the spirit behind this project.
In addition to this, time to time I give a hand to some cleaners, as part of my efforts to take care of the content in this place.
Considero que el contenido es uno de los pilares principales de HIVE, ya que estamos en una plataforma basada en el contenido creado por sus autores. Cuidar del contenido, así como recompensar adecuadamente a sus autores es obligado. Así que una de las primeras cosas que hice, hará unos dos meses, fue pasar a formar parte de @curangel. He elegido este proyecto de curación, creado por @pharesim, porque lo considero uno de los proyectos más honestos en HIVE, y comparto el mismo interés en recompensar el buen contenido, especialmente el de aquellos que han sido olvidados por otros proyectos. Un reparto justo de las recompensas, es ganancia para todos. Si quieres saber más de Curangel, echa un vistazo a nuestra página web (inglés) y/o leete este post (ingles) escrito por @azircon. Ten en cuenta que el post está un poco anticuado, así que ignora la parte acerca de la "Downvote Tool". Sigue siendo un post excelente para entender el espíritu de este proyecto.
Además de esto, como parte de mi intención de cuidar el contenido en la plataforma, de vez en cuando colaabora con algunos cleaners.
I have many interests, as writing, to take pictures with the smartphone and post process them, and some another topics. So, eventually I will be here sharing them, and I hope some of you will enjoy my stuff. I have been enjoying yours from a long time as well.

How come this is your first post?
Oh well is what I tell in the post... at beginning, I didn't see any chance of progress here with the current situation in 2018. After, the major problem continued... lack of a common goal, so raise up Steemit, because most of the big names were busy fighting each others driven by greed.
So I didn't had any hope... until community raised up together when Justin.
That's why this is my first post... I didn't see any reason to post before.
I'm eager to see more of your posts about yourself and your interests.
