Loving This Community

First of all, I am utterly grateful to @doctorfate for finding out and then inviting me here to this wonderful community. Never have I seen a platform that truly aims to uplift everyone.

My apologies, too, as this is actually my second post as I dived right into the water posting about my crypto trading strategy that could be helpful for people who might want to go right into crypto trading. Thank you, @macchiata for clearing this out.

Okay, so about me, as per my first post, I am a crypto trader. I used to be a stock trader and so I got some knowledge on how markets work. The blockchain technology is such a game-changer that I threw everything out of the window and became a full-time crypto trader.

In between being a stock trader and crypto trader, I did some closed-captioning jobs, dabbled into SEO, content writing, also became a social media admin/personal assistant/customer care representative for a famous new age guru based in the US. Have some experience in digital marketing and writing abstracts. I also like operated my own WordPress website before. So, yeah, I've been around.

I love to read books, especially fantasy/high fantasy books. My favorite all-time is Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. I would say the experience was like reading Shakespeare writing an anime-ish novel. It's truly a very complex book series that when asked about how to describe it--no one can really. My default reply would just be, it's better than GoT. It's that good. I can actually appreciate any genre as long as the book can keep me interested enough either by their writing style or just plain good fluid narration. So far fantasy books are the ones that are really on the level that stimulate my imagination so much.

I follow the F1 races. I actually don't know why I like F1 but Team McLaren here. I think it's all about race strategies employed and the drama of the different teams spontaneously brewing together until one racer finally claims the checkered flag is what is appealing to me. Of course, the sound of revving engines and the ultra excited voices of the commentators kind of add to the mix of the overall appeal of F1 to me.

I do collect coins too. My goal is to collect at least one coin from every country. If I remember right my last count was about 80 countries, so not bad, right? My special pieces are the complete original euro dollars per country of the European Union. My collection started when I accidentally found a coin that says "Bani," and then the next day a cashier gave me a Bahraini coin, mistaking it for a local coin. Later I found out Bani is a Romanian coin, and then I told my mom in a boasting manner that I have a collection of international coins already. My mom then showed me her collection, and it was decent, a lot of international and old Philippine coins. So I asked to have the coins that she has more than one of, and that is when my collection ballooned. I was 12 years old when I started. Later on, I had some international friends from college and work and they always gladly obliged to give me a coin from their country when I tell them about my collection.

Lastly, I want to share about Tool the band. My music appreciation has never been that stretched to the highest levels until I listened to Tool. They are classified metal, prog metal to be more precise, but I don't actually hear their sound as just noise that's just pleasant to hear. I actually see the genius in every Tool song. Well, not every song, but in a lot of their songs. My favorite song by Tool is Stinkfist. On first thought, it's about anal fisting, but then as you listen deeper, it's about things people don't like being forced to them. Even though it hurts but since there's no other recourse but to accept things as they are, and bear the hurt until it becomes normal. I think this song hit me home with politicians here in my country having been giving us the stinkfist for God knows how long, but then we don't mind it anymore. The state of politics here is really getting from bad to worse. Other notable songs of Tool is Lateralus. This is what I really think why Tool is genius, because Lateralus was inspired by the Fibonacci sequence. The syllables of each lines of the song follow the Fibonacci sequence. Wow, right? Tool frontman Maynard may look and act like a degenerate during concerts, but you'd be blown by their artistry and musicality if you look beyond appearances. Tool is just a band that has all members bring out the best in each of them making them produce music that transcend from just being a sound.

Okay, so these are some of the things that keep me entertained and like doing. My goal here is to share and be helpful and to make new friends.

Thank you.

The important thing

Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise.

If you have questions or concerns, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions or you can always ask me @macchiata.

Thank you, Mac. Hopefully I get to the level of adding pics into the mix. Still figuring out a lot in here. 😍

The gratitude is mutual because you also motivated me into exploring crypto. You are part of how I came to discover Hive. So actually, we found it together.

I've collected coins since childhood, too! It's amazing to think that they are a piece of their country's history and culture that do not degrade for a very long time. My coin album is somewhere in the house. Maybe I can start coin collecting again and we can blog about them here.

I'll start documenting my coins haha
