The obligatory introduction.

PLEASE CALL ME MJ.

How’s your day people? I hope it went well, if it didn’t, I hope tomorrow gets better. By the way I am Manuel John I. Pabilona, a registered nurse and a freelance writer at the same time. I would be grateful if you call me MJ instead of Manuel.

I am here basically to write anything under the sun and moon. I like learning new things so reading and researching is not an issue to me at all. That is why you all should be ready with my consistent randomness. I can give you an article about Diabetes Mellitus today, then post a Real Estate related one the next day. I guarantee that everything is informative, original and enjoyable.

I love writing because it kind of makes me escape the sucking reality sometimes. Self-expression is another thing. Plus I get to learn new and useful things. I am currently a company nurse of a certain digital company. Since I am already in a digitally inclined organization, my role in life is not only limited to giving them pills and reminding them to drink plenty of water. I also do web and blog content, customer support, social media management and advertisement-related jobs.

Before I end this introductory post, I just would like to let you know that it always excites me to be on a whole new platform because I get to meet a new strand of writers and that’s equivalent to meeting additional soul mates. I hope you learn a lot from me and I get to discover new things from your entries. These chaotic world we have needs more of awesome and positive writers, so we should all snowball.

Hello mjpabilona! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
