Hello!
Today I sat down at @Caffetto for about two hours and learned of Hive through my friend @kommienezuspadt. I am brand new to the world of Hive and cryptocurrency itself but am excited to see where it all takes me.
My name is Amaya Pena and I am 19 year old artist from Minneapolis, MN. As you will see, I mainly work with photography and music but like to dabble in all kind of art forms. I like to paint, draw, write, sculpt, and make the occasional set of earrings.
I fell in love with photography at the age of 13 and haven't been able to stop taking photos since. It will forever be my constant. I grew up with a shit biological father who left my life when I was born. From then on, my mom worked two jobs constantly which in turn led me to be raised by the rest of my family. I moved ten times before high school but spent most of my time at my grandparents farm and godparents hunting range. My grandparents were foster parents to teenagers so I was exposed to many stories about lives of others before I could experience my own. I was lucky in that way. Now I hope to tell the stories of my life and others through pictures.
I intend to use Hive as a platform to share my work, my little life stories and struggles as a young starving artist. I'll tell small stories of my childhood or whatever comes to my mind and then show how I use pictures and art as a coping mechanism for problems I haven't quite solved yet.
