Hello my Steemit brethren, I am mrcrdrgznrb, a relatively new steemit user from Honduras in Central America.
I have recently discovered steemit and like the platform quite a bit. I would like to contribute with content and will be posting articles regarding different topics related to life in central America for the world to see, specifically Honduras.
I'll leave a link to the Honduras wiki page. Just to give a little bit background on my country: Honduras is a small country in Central America, exactly in the middle of Central America. Bordering with El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua; Honduras also has coasts in both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean on the south end of the country. Main language is Spanish, with many other indigenous languages and dialects and our currency is the Honduran Lempira. Our political system is a supposed democratic system however I will express my (and a great percentage of Honduran population's) political opinions in further posts. Our population is about 8.5 million people. Below I include an example of one of our most common local beers.
Now a brief background about me. I am a 30 year old industrial engineer working on a large motor vehicle distributor in Honduras. I became interested in cryptocurrencies back when bitcoin was starting up around 2010. There still isn't a very developed crypto scene locally but I hope I can be an integral part of it's development. I love to travel around my country and central america and will dedicate a few articles to write up some of my trips. I have also, in the recent years, become more and more aware of the political in my country. In fact, in one of my recent trips I ended up explaining the whole development of the scene of the last few years to an australian backpacker and it surprised him to know our current situation and how he was able to travel through our country without any idea of what was going on. This actually gave me the idea of posting bits and pieces of Life in Central America for the world to see.
So, that's my little introduction and hopefully I'll see you guys reading and commenting on my future posts if they are of you're liking.
Welcome, nice to have you on board!
May I suggest adding the #steemit and #life tag for this first post of yours? It may help you get more views, and they are relevant tags. Good luck!
Thanks, will do.
South America is on my list of places to go to;D~
Have any destinations in mind?
Argentina is top of my list. A great country for Football & great steaks I hear. And I am fascinated by the country. But as in all things it will have to wait until I can generate some time;D~
Cool, I've met some argentinians, very nice people.
