Nací en el hospital Chiquinquirá de Maracaibo, Venezuela-Estado Zulia, en 1993. Un 24 de abril, exactamente un sábado. Mamá me llamó por primera vez: “David Daniel Olaves Llerena”. Y besó mi frente en nombre de Dios. El comienzo de mi niñez fue en un pueblo de la ciudad Coro-Estado Falcón, un lugar donde papá me enseñó la caza y el arte marcial. Con mi padre viví poco tiempo, ya que luego viajé a Casigua el cubo, un pueblo ubicado al sur del lago de Maracaibo, donde viví un par de años con la familia de mi madre. Después viajé a Anaco-Estado Anzoátegui, y allí viví un par de años más. Llegué a Caracas en mis 11 años de edad, y años después regresé nuevamente a la ciudad de coro, y así sucesivamente, mi niñez y mi adolescencia se desarrollaron en un gran laberinto de comienzos sin finales. En una búsqueda de identidad, de personalidad y espiritualidad. Conocí el mundo de la Poesía en mi etapa de la adolescencia, fue la tercera “cosa” que decidí probar, lo que me hizo pausar el dibujo y la música.
I was born in the Chiquinquirá hospital in Maracaibo, Venezuela-Zulia State, in 1993. On April 24, exactly on a Saturday. Mom called me for the first time: "David Daniel Olaves Llerena". And she kissed my forehead in the name of God. The beginning of my childhood was in a town in the city Coro-Estado Falcón, a place where dad taught me hunting and martial art. I lived with my father for a short time, since I later traveled to Casigua el cubo, a town located south of Lake Maracaibo, where I lived for a couple of years with my mother's family. Later I traveled to Anaco-Estado Anzoátegui, and I lived there a couple of years more. I arrived in Caracas when I was 11 years old, and years later I returned again to the city of choir, and so on, my childhood and adolescence developed into a great maze of beginnings without end. In a search for identity, personality and spirituality. I knew the world of Poetry in my adolescence, it was the third "thing" that I decided to try, which made me pause drawing and music.
Comencé a escribir poemas en la ciudad de Coro, alrededor de los 15 años, donde estudié todo mi bachillerato hasta el cuarto año, después de haber leído grandes poetas como; Mario Benedetti, Juan Gelman, Jaime Sabines, Cesar Vallejo y otros. Practiqué los deportes básicos como el futbol; el Basketball y el baseball. Me convertí en un bailarín de Break dance y me mantuve entrenando 5 años. Conocí el teatro y me formé en distintos talleres como; Rajatabla (Taller Nacional de Teatro TNT), Escuela Superior De Artes Escénicas; Juana Sujo, y me gradué con la Promoción IX “Sueño de una noche de verano” – William Shakespeare, En el Centro de Formación e Investigación Actoral TET. Un reconocido y valioso espacio de creación y formación teatral venezolano con una trayectoria de 46 años de trabajo ininterrumpido.
I started writing poems in the city of Coro, around the age of 15, where I studied all my baccalaureate until the fourth year, after having read great poets such as; Mario Benedetti, Juan Gelman, Jaime Sabines, Cesar Vallejo and others. I practiced basic sports like soccer; Basketball and baseball. I became a Break dance dancer and kept training for 5 years. I got to know the theater and trained in different workshops such as; Rajatabla (National Theater Workshop TNT), Superior School of Performing Arts; Juana Sujo, and I graduated with Promotion IX “A Midsummer Night's Dream” - William Shakespeare, At the TET Actoral Research and Training Center. A recognized and valuable Venezuelan theater creation and training space with a history of 46 years of uninterrupted work.
Durante mi trayectoria artística realicé varios trabajos de diferentes áreas, desde actor, técnico, asistente de dirección, iluminación y realizador escenográfico, también participé en varios proyectos audiovisuales, como largometrajes y cortometrajes.
During my artistic career I carried out several works in different areas, from actor, technician, assistant director, lighting and stage director, I also participated in several audiovisual projects, such as feature films and short films.
Dentro de mi búsqueda artística me llamó la atención el trabajo físico con los zancos, y con experiencia de más de dos años trabajé en una empresa llamada “kanillas largas” (kadi wenunte) un colectivo de creadores que comparten “formación y recreación cultural” inclinándose en la recreación pedagógica a través del zanco, el mimo y otras artes escénicas, en caracas y en puerto Ayacucho.
Within my artistic search, I was struck by the physical work with stilts, and with more than two years' experience, I worked in a company called "long kanillas" (kadi wenunte), a group of creators who share "cultural training and recreation", inclining in pedagogical recreation through stilt, mime and other performing arts, in Caracas and in Puerto Ayacucho.
Mi objetivo como artista no es cambiar el mundo. Es dejar un mensaje en las manos de todas aquellas personas que lo habitan. Un mensaje que les permita mirarse por dentro, saberse, sentirse, mirarse en los espejos del alma y del corazón. Estoy aquí para aportarle al mundo un granito de luz, a través de la poesía, la Literatura, El teatro y el Cine, y todas las posibles manifestaciones artísticas. Y que otra forma mejor que hacerlo en Steemit, que nos brinda la oportunidad de crear y seguir creciendo.
My goal as an artist is not to change the world. It is leaving a message in the hands of all those who inhabit it. A message that allows them to look inside, know, feel, look in the mirrors of the soul and heart. I am here to give the world a grain of light, through poetry, literature, theater and cinema, and all possible artistic manifestations. And what better way to do it at Steemit, which gives us the opportunity to create and continue growing.
