Good morning everyone.
I just started on the site a few days ago i dont know what am i doing wrong.
I just invest 10$ with steem coin and power up like others told me to..
So i am just like you guys i bet so many people have the same question as i do (what am i doing wrong).
So let me tell you why.
as a new user on steemit it will be hard to start making good money from your post.
this is one of the first things u guys may understand. people write a good post u spend a few hours doing it!
but you only earn 20 cent? and we know you guys spend time to find pictures and more time to editing your post!.
i spend 1 hour maybe 2 doing my post! then you may think i put everything i can into my post .
and you hope after you post people will love it!.
AFTER A FEW HOURS U ONLY MAKE 20 CENTS!
So you may think . wait? i just spend 2 hours for 20 cents? no way!.
Now here's what you didn't realize when you post the 20 cent post:
1 : You have 8 new followers that love your work. They didn't just upvote your post But they now have you on their feed. and because they enjoyed your work , you're going to get upvotes again, from the same people who enjoyed your work!.
2: There is a lot of people here that put everything in there work just like you!, The fact that someone else made $260 on their post, and you made 20 cents means nothing. Tomorrow you might make $260 on your post, and that other person might make only 20 cents. + tip (i find that good tip here and in your life is persistence). so never give up and keep working hard!.
I have one more tip. for all the new users on this site that want to make a good post and get paid!
You *NEED* build a following. That means followers. so how am i getting followers?.
You need to visit and upvote other people's posts. Write good comments on their posts and they are more likely to click your name, and see your profile. it make them curiosity.
Now! just because your first few posts didn't get a high payout doesn't mean your posts are not good or something!. and most important it does not mean you're not going to be popular in the future!.
You need to understand it take over 200 posts (junk ones!) to start getting well paid from your post!
even me! as i said did not even make 10 cent on any post i did!.
You guys need to keep working hard!. if you guys keep writing posts every day and never give up you guys will see one day on your posts over 20$ paid i promise you that!.
You do not need to be worry about what you make today. you need to think what am i going to earn in the future. as long you doing the best you can! the site will do the best for you!

I have over 600 something followers now and I get only like 5-8 upvotes from posts now. Sadly getting followers does not guarantee that they will notice you. Here's why, incase you are not aware, someone has to manually go to their steemit feed to PERHAPS find your new post. Because steemit lacks a notification system to let your followers know when you posted something new and no notification alert in place. Plus many people follows hundreds of other people and you can easily get your content pushed down in the news feed in matter or minutes. Many people uses bots like minnowsupport to get a decent upvote and I use Discord to get my posts more exposure and still you may not get much results. So that you know. Its not impossible to get noticed on steemit but you will need a huge loyal following so you can get anywhere these days. :)
