I have been on steemit for a while and I have watched a lot of videos and read a lot of post about steemit and the amazing part about steemit, is you can you can get money by upvoting and helping others make money, so I am going to share these tips with the newbies and I hope it help you learn from this post
Tip #1
How to get followers?
Go to the trending and hot post and read the posts and leave a very good and long comment that shows the author that you actually took the time to read their post( some people don’t read before they comment trust me!) don’t leave short comments like “good work” “nice” or “ I like your post follow me” people will usually follow other steemanians that take time to read their post and leave a comment that shows that you read the post. And they will almost never follow someone that begs or ask for followers. So take a day or so to comment on post and follow the users that have trending articles this will also help you by building up your curation rewards … for example when you are one of the first steemit users that upvote on good post that has a possibility of earning a lot of steem dollars your curation rewards will be more and remember users that have post in the trending section almost always have post that end up making a lot of money.

Upvote
You need to upvote post, not only will you help other steemit users earn money but you can actually help yourself too. How? When you upvote post you get money too through curation rewards, which is extra money for you. So go ahead and upvote post help other steemanians and you will be rewarded too…
What is curation rewards and how can you earn money from curation?
When you upvote a post you can get curation rewards especially when you know that the post is going to make a lot of money before it actually does. But you need to know when to upvote because within the first 30 min your curation rewards is shared with the author of the post. So don’t upvote immediately after a publication because majority of the curation rewards will go to the author and not you. Give it a few minutes before you upvote post. Between 15-30 minutes is the time I upvote post. You can choose what is best for you. You won’t earn a lot of money from curation but something is better than nothing.
Tip #3
Take time to read and watch
Learn as much as you can about steemit. Learn how curation works, how the payout works, and how you get followers, and when to vote on other post to get the maximum curation rewards…just learn as much as you possibly can. Steemit can be confusing to newbies, but if you take the time to read and watch videos about steemit it will help you grow faster, you will be surprised how much you can learn from other steemanians.
Tip #4
Introduceyourself
The introduction post in my opinion is very important. Take time to write your post and write a long post in which you take the time to really tell others who you are and where you are from and what your likes and dislikes are, and why you decided to join steemit ,and how you found out about steemit. People like to read post that is interesting. They also like to see that the author actually took time and effort in writing their introduction post. So write an awesome introduction post. Remember first impressions last the longest. And the fun part is you can actually make loads of money from your steemit introduction post. I made $56 from my introduction post this far, other steemit users make a lot more than I did because they put more effort in writing their post. Others only make a few cents because they write short intros that don’t attract any upvotes. So be smart and start big you don’t need 1000’s of followers to write your introduction post to make money I had no followers when wrote my introduction post.

Like I mentioned in m previous tips…you should comment on other steemnian post this wil help you connect with other users and build up followers also take time to reply to comments on your post.being on steemit is not only about making money but it’s also about connecting with others

Hi - I agree with you. 2 things to add i guess. Use of a picture is a good way to personalize your posts. Also, do you think the introduction matters anything anymore after your first post?

yes a picture with the date that you joined steemit is a great addition to your intro post ..the intro post might not matter after you actually start posting your regular post but in my opinio it can help you start growing your followers in the begining...( i like to follow steemanians that write great intros,but thats just me) and thank you so much :)
