My introduction - a little bit about Steemit Gecko & my aspirations on this platform

Hello Steemit! I am a gecko and am I very excited to be making my first post here.

You may wonder how it is that a gecko came to be a steemit user? Well...it's simple really. I currently live in a house that belongs to someone who has been glued to steemit for the last six months and every day I have been watching him carefully, learning and scheming.

I can see him earning decent rewards now so i decided it was finally time to get an account and introduce myself here. I have a rather different story to the average gecko. So, let's start with that.

That's me when I was a baby! Still learning about the world :)

My Story

I was born on a peach farm in France where my family and I lived in the roof rafters of a beautiful villa with endless insect buffets every night when the place was lit up like a christmas tree. But one fateful morning I fell asleep in a very comfortable suitcase full of clothes and when I woke up I was in Thailand!

I do think about my family from time to time but in truth, Thailand was best thing that ever happened to me. And based on my first suit case experience, I developed a system where I was able to move from country to country by finding big houses, scoping the joint for a while and then, when the moment was right, bam... into that suitcase I would go! I'm a deep sleeper so when I wake, the plane ride is over and as long as I make it out of the suitcase in one piece, another country opens its doors to me...

And that's how it is in my life now. I travel the world and learn stuff about you humans by watching you. And now that I've found Steemit, I feel as if I have many things I want to share with you, the community. Important things most of you cannot see because you are too preoccupied with your pursuit of that stuff you call money. Something I have never had to think about. Yep, it's the lizard's life for me!

I tasted the best food in the streets of Paris.

...I learned to use a spanner in Washington DC

And then I moved to Venice Beach, California.

And boy did I see some strange stuff there!

What is my intention with Steemit?

I was hooked on Facebook for many years and it is my hope that Steemit will inspire me to say goodbye to the centralised, advert filled, corporation driven platforms of old. I am most grateful to the person who I have been living with for helping me see the full potential of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and Steemit as a social media plaform with one noteable difference. It pays you!

So, I would like to share with you some of my many insights learned over the years. I'm a pretty smart gecko and now that I have traveled the world I have a few things to say about the way you humans go about living your lives.

So my new Steemit friends, I hope you are ready for what I have in store for you.

It is my intention to help you with my observations. I understand its hard to see the madness of a society when you are a part of it. But from where I am perched, I can tell you it ain't looking good folks. Changes need to be made. Outside and within.

Where do I see myself five years from now?

Rich! Living on a yatch, chilling with my friends, playing poker and watching the sun go down at night knowing I have everything I need and it was all thanks to Steemit :)

My promise to you

I'm going to dedicate myself to this platform solidly for five years establishing myself not only as the first gecko on Steemit but also as reliable source to an array of information and insights into how humans can change their ways and ultimately live much happier & healthier lives without killing themselves or the planet they live on.
