Finally found time to translate my introduction. I added the german version in here again as well (need to scroll down)
Vita- v. Latin; vita-life
What are we doing here anyways? Whats the point of all this? And why? Is the weekend close? Why is it already Monday again? I am hungry! Why am I doing the blog? Why am I sitting down by choice and write? Racking my brain about how I put the sentence together in the best way. Read oodles books, studies, reports about life, love, psychology, philosophy and everything else which falls into my hands. Putting up with how to built up a blog, a roadmap, google bot associations, SEO etc etc... With all the last mentioned stuff, honestly I asked myself that, being entirely helpless again, when I tried to understand all the technical requirements. But you guessed it... I couldn't help it but to start the blog anyways. Because I definitely, absolutely and in every case had the goal to start a blog.
And exactly that is the point.
In my blog Vita&Me I will write about life itself. Where it leads us sometimes. About the variety of detours, throwbacks, giant stumbling blocks and hyphy turnarounds life sometimes takes. Why these wanderings, and not taking the shortcuts, are exactly the right thing to do. Why Vita is doing all that to us or better for us. She is namely pretty clever without us noticing it.
If a marathon runner wouldn't have to run the 20k but only had to take a step over the finish line, he would never not nearly be as happy, brandish his arms and sometimes even cry, when he reached the finish. The feeling therefore would be the same as punching a sheet of paper or doing other trivial things.
Soooooo the journey is the destination. The goal is only awesome if you walked the path or in our example ran quite far. My blog will revolve about the path and not the goal.
Everywhere you can read about goals you need to aim high. Self management to get what you want. The next promotion to be manager xy is the goal etc. The path leading to that is way more interesting and important. Why didn't I get the job? Why did my relationship not work out? Unfortunately only being aware of the path isn‘t enough, you have to understand it as well. You can imagine it like a video game. Only if you made it through a level, so understood it somehow with all its complications, you get to the next level. The skills you adopted will help you for the next as well :). Some people rush from e.g. a relationship to another and wonder why it is not working out. Or from one to another job. A pattern/vicious circle, well or put it another way: Sorry—Level GAME OVER. Press start to start over again.
I wouldn't have started the blog if I wouldn't had move from there to over there, if I would not have met this or that Person. And a lot more coincidences. You see I am pretty fascinated about life itself and its detours. Vita already had lots of stuff on hand for me. Today I can cherish it and don‘t rail against the throwbacks or regret any of my decisions. They all had to be!
In my blog I will tell a little about my experiences I had with Vita and still have. How you get along with Vita pretty well and even fall head over heels in love with life. >3 About some cool studies, Interviews I did and books that I read and probably read right at that moment. Cause I am still on my way as well. I am not running as the marathon runner though, my condition wouldn't allow that at all, but I never stand still. Even if you walk slowly you still lap the ones who didn’t get going at all.
GERMAN VERSION
Vita- v. lateinischen; vita-Leben
Was machen wir hier eigentlich? Was soll das alles? Und wozu? Ist bald Freitag? Warum ist schon wieder Montag? Ich hab Hunger! Warum mache ich den Blog? Wieso setze ich mich freiwillig hin und schreibe? Zerbreche mir den Kopf wie ich etwas am besten schreibe. Lese Unmengen von Büchern, Studien, Berichte über das Leben, die Liebe, Psychologie, Philosophie und was mir sonst so in die Hände fällt…. Setze mich mit einem richtigen BlogAufbau, der Roadmap, dem Google bot Assoziationen, SEO usw. usw. usw. auseinander. Bei dem ganzen letzteren Kram habe ich mich das ehrlich gesagt auch öfter gefragt wenn ich mal wieder völlig hilflos versucht habe die technischen Notwendigkeiten für so einen Blog zu verstehen. ABER ihr könnt es euch denken…. Ich konnte nicht anders. Weil ich definitiv, unbedingt und auf jeden Fall das Ziel vor Augen hatte einen Blog zu Schreiben und somit eine Website zu erstellen via Wordpress.
Und genau das ist der Punkt.
In meinem Blog Vita&Ich werde ich über das Leben an sich schreiben. Wo es uns manchmal hinführt. Über die vielen Umwege, Rückschläge, riesen Stolpersteine und völlig abgedrehten Wendungen die das Leben manchmal so nimmt. Warum diese Irrfahrten und nicht die Abkürzung nehmen, genau richtig sind. Warum Vita das alles mit uns macht oder besser für uns tut. Sie ist nämlich ziemlich clever ohne das wir es merken! Wenn ein Marathon Läufer nicht 20 km gerannt wäre sondern einfach nur einen Schritt über die Ziellinie hätte machen müssen dann würde er sich doch nie auch nur annähernd so freuen, mit den Armen fuchteln und manchmal sogar weinen vor Freude, wenn er das Ziel erreicht hat. Das Gefühl wäre also genauso toll wie wenn ich ein Blatt falte oder andere banale Sachen machen würde.
Alssssooooo ist der Weg das Ziel. Das Ziel ist aber nur toll wenn man den Weg auch gegangen ist oder in dem Fall ziemlich weit gerannt ist. Mein Blog wird sich um den Weg drehen und nicht das Ziel.
Überall liest man über Ziele die man sich stecken soll. Selbstmanagement um das zu bekommen was man möchte. Die nächste Beförderung zum Manager xy ist das Ziel usw..
Der Weg dort hin ist viel interessanter und wichtiger. Warum habe ich den Job nicht bekommen? Wieso ist meine Beziehung gescheitert? Den Weg einfach zu kennen reicht nun leider nicht einfach aus. Man muss ihn auch verstehen. Man kann sich das auch wie ein Video Spiel vorstellen. Erst wenn man durch ein Level durch ist, es in gewisser Weise also mit seinen Komplikationen verstanden hat, kommt man ins nächste. Die Skills helfen einem auch beim nächsten Manche Menschen hasten z.B. von einer Beziehung in die nächste und wundern sich warum es nicht klappt. Oder von einem zum nächsten Job. Ein Muster/Teufelskreis, naja oder eben anders ausgedrückt: –Leider Nein– Level Game Over. Drücken Sie Start um neu zu beginnen.
Diesen Blog hätte ich niemals gestartet wenn ich nicht von hier nach dort umgezogen wäre. Nicht diesen und jenen Menschen kennen gelernt hätte. Und vieles mehr. Ihr seht schon ich bin vom Leben selbst und seinen Wendungen ziemlich fasziniert. Vita hat schon einiges für mich parat gehabt. Ich weiß es heute aber zu schätzen und schimpfe nicht über die Rückschläge oder bereue irgendeine meiner Entscheidungen. Die mussten alle sein! In meinem Blog erzähle ich ein bischen von den Erfahrungen die ich mit Vita gemacht habe und auch noch jeden Tag mache. Wie man mit Vita ziemlich gut auskommt und sich sogar völlig in das Leben verknallen kann. Über ein paar coole Studien, Interviews die ich gemacht habe und Bücher die ich gelesen habe und jetzt gerade wahrscheinlich lese. Den ich bin ja auch noch unterwegs auf dem Weg. Ich renne zwar nicht wie der Marathon Läufer, das würde meine Kondition garnicht zulassen, aber ich bleibe nie stehen. Selbst wenn du nur langsam läufst überrundest du immer noch alle die garnicht losgehen!
