La palude di Torre Flavia è un sito protetto dalla Rete Natura 2000 e classificato come ZPS, zona di protezione speciale.
L'area di circa 40 ettari comprende un insieme di ambienti umidi e forestali e si estende tra Ladispoli e Cerveteri parallelamente alla costa.
I terreni ricchi di materiale organico e il suolo umido la rendono un ecosistema indispensabile alla sopravvivenza di molte specie animali e vegetali minacciate dal pericolo più grande negli ultimi secoli.. noi stessi.. l uomo.
Tra le varie specie, sono soprattutto i volatili quelli più presenti, con la dovuta cautela e senza fare rumore o entrare in una parte inaccessibile (mi raccomando!!!) potremmo osservare splendidi esemplari di airone, fenicottero, anatra e cigno.
Per quanto riguarda i mammiferi senza elevate difficoltà faremo la conoscenza di ricci, talpe, volpi e istrici.
Il percorso immerso nella natura prosegue per circa 300 metri,e alla fine ci ritroveremo direttamente in spiaggia.
The Swamp of Torre Flavia is a site protected by the ‘Rete Natura 2000’, the area of about 40 hectares includes a set of humid and forestous environments extended between Ladispoli and Cerveteri following the coastline.
Soils rich in organic matter and wet soil make it an essential ecosystem to the survival of many animal and vegetable species threatened by humans.
Among the various species, especially the most volatile ones, with the due caution and without making noise or entering in an inaccessible part (I recommend !!!) we can look at the spectacular specimens of heron, flamingo, duck and swan.
The path in the nature continues for about 300 meters, and in the end we’ll find ourselves directly at the beach.

Torre FLavia nasce in epoca mediavale come una struttura di avvistamento e difesa costiera,costruita con materiali di epoca Romana, essa faceva parte si un sistema di difesa insieme a :
-Torre Perla a Palidoro
-Torre Saracena a S. Severa,
-Torre dei Castelli Odescalchi di Palo
-Santa Marinella.
All incirca nel 1600 la struttura viene fatta potenziare da Flavio Orsini, dalla quale la torre prende il nome, con armi e cannoni e viene fatta pattugliare continuamente da inizialmente 5 poi 3 soldati.
Nel 1943 viene bombardata dai Tedeschi,in questa occasione la parte superiore rimane distrutta, mentre la base della struttura continua ad essere intatta.
Con gli anni e la disgregazione a opera del mare e della noncuranza la Torre si e' lentamente spaccata fino ad arrivare alle condizioni attuali.
Attualmente ci sono varie agenzie e associazioni che hanno intenzione di procedere al ripristino o quantomeno alla conservazione..
Spero vivamente intervengano al piu' presto per risanare la situazione poiche', come traspare, il posto coronato da questa costruzione trasuda di fascino..
Sarebbe veramente un danno irripristinabile se dovesse cadere o sprofondare,sia dal punto di vista economico poichè molto del turismo di Ladispoli e' generato da questa spiaggia. che da quello sentimentale.
Negli anni ho conosciuto molte persone che settimanalmente vengono da lontano per godere della bellezza di questo.
Per quanto riguarda i piu' sentimentali,me in primis, questo ambiente, che apparentemente, all'occhio estraneo risulterebbe come 'na spiaggia e du rocce' per noi è molto di piu;
la Torretta e' un oasi dove abbiamo trascorso giornate,abbiamo lasciato parte della nostra vita.
Essa ci ha fatto innamorare,divertire ed emozionare,ci ha tenuto compagnia nei giorni più caldi dandoci ristoro con bagni e tuffi, ha scaldato le nostre mani tremolanti nelle notti più fredde con falò ove magari sono nati i primi amori e primi baci..
Mentre sto scrivendo adesso,trovo tutto ciò veramente emozionante, e quindi difficilmente esprimibile in parole poichè un emozione si può raccontare per essere intuita ma va vissuta per essere capita.
'Torre Flavia was born in the medieval period as a coastal observation and defense structure, built with Roman materials, was a defense system with:
-Tower Saracena in Santa Severa,
- Tower of Castello Odescalchi of Palo
-Tower of Santa Marinella in Palidoro

It would be irreversibly damaging if it falls or collapses, both monetary and affectionate-sentimental, since much of Ladispoli's tourism is generated from this beach, I know many people who come weekly from different place far from here to enjoy its beauty.
For the most sentimental people, including me, this environment has much more than a beach and a piece of rock, the Torretta is an oasis that has made us fall in love, entertain and excite, spend our most beautiful days in the baths, dive, giving a kiss to people who care about us and seeing this 'myth' collapse would make me really sad.
SCOGLIERA/CLIFF

Qui mi ha insegnato i primi nodi, come lanciare e come pescare anche se essendo sincero non dimenticherò mai il mio primo lancio: movimento terribile della canna e l'amo infilzò il braccio del mio vecchio.
Esiste un avvio migliore alla pesca? 90 kg di preda presi al primo lancio!'

Da sempre punto di ritrovo per la pesca in quanto questa e' impossibile da praticare sulla costa.. il fondale nei primi 60 -80 metri e' veramente basso!
La scogliera è stata costruita artificialmente nella fine degli anni 90' per cercare proteggere il sito dall' erosione del mare e preservarla più a lungo possibile.
Come dice il sito web dedicato al luogo, che lascio in link per chi fosse in cerca di più dettagli e dati del posto: "Una Torre a difesa del nostro litorale, Una scogliera a difesa del nostro patrimonio".

AVVISO: Le prossime righe deprimeranno i meno esperti /disinteressati ma fomenteranno i pescatori che volessero venire qui a pesca:
Per chi non fosse interessato,ricominciare la lettura ai due pallini --> °°
°Armati di attrezzature ed equipaggiamento,i pescatori sono soliti praticare due tipi di pesca:
*Surficasting dagli scogli,
-grammmature da 100/150 gr,
-Lenza madre trecciata da 0,06 a 0,10,
-Terminale da 0,28 a 0,40 piu' spesso per lanciare molto forte ,
-Shockleader (opzionale ma consigliato) da 15 metri per resistere allo strappo della canna,
-Amo da 4 a 8 in base alla preda da voler pescare.
Nei 100, 150 metri avanti a noi potremo pescare esemplari di mormora, saraghi, e per i più fortunati spigole.
Io sono solito utilizzare un Short arm rovesciato, ovviamente con perline e stopper.
*Rockfishing a recupero,
-Lenza madre da 0,02 a 0,04,
-Terminale 0,12 a 0,18,
-Esca finta fino a 30 gr,
lancio a 15-20 metri poiche' attorno agli scogli si riversa moltissima vita!
Io ho provato più volte con un' esca artificiale da 26 gr ed è andata benissimo,in questo modo potremo pescare cefali, cefaletti, occhiate e orate!
Non è molto usata la pesca col galleggiante poichè nell' area circostante cè sempre una forte corrente,quindi cè il forte rischio che l'amo si incagli e poi bisognerebbe lanciare continuamente.
Per chi ha letto e volesse ulteriori consigli o montature, per quanto ne so sono sempre pronto a rispondere!

°Armed with equipment, fishermen usually used to practice two types of fishing:
-Surficasting from the rocks, with grams of 100/150 gr, braided motherhood from 0.06 to 0.10, the thick terminal to launch very strong from 0.28 to 0.40, 15-meter shockleader to withstand the cane ripping, I love 4 to 8 according to the prey you want to fish.
In the 100, 150 meters ahead of us we can fish specimens of murmurs, saraghs, and for the luckiest, bows.
I usually use an inverted short arm, obviously with beads and stopper.
-Rockfishing on recovery, motherhood from 0.02 to 0.04, terminal 0.12 to 0.18, with bait fake up to 30 gr, throw at 15-20 meters as the rocks pour a lot of life around!
I have tried several times with the artificial bait of 26 gr and it's been great, so we can catch mascots, cephalets, glances and breams!
Fishing with floats isn’t very used, as in the surrounding area there’s always a strong current, It should e rolled continuously!

La distesa sabbiosa si apre da dopo il sentiero fino ad arrivare alla scogliera,la sabbia,di colore bianco dorata e' molto fina e leggera ed è veramente diversa dalla sabbia delle altre spiagge ladispolane,in queste altre infatti troveremo una sabbia nera,ferrosa e molto pesante.
La sabbia bianca difficilmente raggiunge quel calore così elevato da costringerci a saltellare per andare a farci il bagno e con
l 'azione del vento da lontano e' possibile vedere l accumularsi di spettacolari dune naturali.
Questo spazio cosi' aperto consente a chiunque ne abbia voglia lunghe passeggiate e/o ore di divertimento praticando i piu' disparati tipi di sport:
-in spiaggia si pratica quotidianamente beach volley, calcio e jogging.
-in aria vedremo formazioni di aquiloni spinti dal soffio del vento e persone legate ad imbracature spinti da grosse ventole a motore anche detto 'parapendio a motore' (..fighissimo DEVO farlo prima o poi.. giuro di portare foto e video!)
-in acqua skimboard, canoa e windsurf, ci sono degli stabilimenti che affittano materiali e fanno corsi.

This open space allows anyone who wants long walks or hours of fun practicing the most varied types of sports:
-on the beach you can practice beach volleyball, football and jogging.
-in the air we’ll see kite formation pushed by the wind blowing or motor paragliding (I really have to do it sooner or later .. I swear to take photos and videos!)
-in water skimboard, canoeing and windsurfing, there are establishments that rent materials and make courses.

Personalmente amo praticare la calcio (non c'è nessuna foto a tal proposito !) e beach volley,infatti ho acquistato un campo portatile racchiuso in meno di un metro, è diventato un inseparabile compagno quando si a mare con gli amici!
