Hey fam! Here's my i-Talent round 12 submission! I'm really excited to share this song and video from my latest EP release! This song was such a joy to record and collab on the production.
About the song:
There's been a lot of crazy stuff happening inside the US lately and it's been very heart breaking to so many of us who feel powerless to fight against all the political angst that is weighing so heavy on our hearts and souls right now. I wrote this song not as a way to express frustration with the system, but more to help garner a sense of support and comradery in creative way. Essentially, "I see you over there having a hardtime, I'm having a hard time too, but we're going to get through this together. I see you and I got you." Because at the end of the day, we need each other. We need other people. We need connection and support. That's how we were designed and that's a beautiful thing.

Aww, thank you!!! Yeah, my friend Dane produced the song on this and did the most amazing job. There were so many harmonies like 70 tracks lol! I felt so bad, but he killed it. I’m so glad you’re digging it!! A lot of the stuff I’ve been posting has been a bit older and stuff I’ve done specifically for publishing or my band in the past. The new stuff I’ll be posting is from my new project and I think is less top 40 sounding but has a bit of a higher quality of musicality to it. It’s more my heart music 😊

Hello, very talented and what a powerful message in your lyrics. We are living in a very negative atmosphere/time but it's awareness like this that is a great reminder. My kids would say, "chill Mama" lol. I am just a country girl, but I get what you are saying. The part about "To act like we're fine, ain't nothing wrong, All the while, just trying, to keep pushing on" made me think of social media and how sometimes people present themselves in what I guess I would call a false reality, when sadly they are really suffering on the inside. Yes, exactly! Social media is one of the biggest culprits of this!!! And yes, weed and alcohol are always fun in moderation lol. I mainly put it in there to highlight how it can be a coping mechanism and a way to bring people together in a good way. Thanks so much for checking out my stuff and your inciteful feedback!!
