RE: I suck at making logos. Please help!

in #jobslast year (edited)

Great, done.

Here is the final pack for CastGarden Logo and Banner:

Final CastGarden logo in IPFS

The password is the same as for the last pack which I gave you in the chat. You can open chat and have a look. Otherwise, I can give you back in chat, no problem.

Many thanks in advance for your trust in my design abilities.

Sort:

Can you please export each svg to a separate file and make sure they display correctly? the letters are exceeding the image size and the square image is not centering correctly. then zip them all up and send again?

First of all, do you have installed the font? Because, the svg app need to read the font, to be able to display it. In your image here, the font is not one i have attached in the pack.

Second, what app you use to open the svg files?

And 3rd: Do you really need svg file? Because, svg is ok, if you need for printing extremely big logo on big areas, to be vectorized, but, if you need just for web sites, or printing logo on paper, you go better with png files. It is broad supported format, and you can't go wrong with it.

I can render for you png in one big resolution, and you can make it smaller like you need it.

On my end, the pack is ok, the svg files are ok all the files, like in the previous pack, you have the logo, the banner, all the logos together on the 3 backgrounds, and the font.

Should i send you in png format too? It is much better option for working on web with it.

I cannot install a font on this computer.
Please generate 1600px wide png's then please and I can probably use https://png2svg.com to convert them to svg myself.

Ok, I can do it, no problem, but, what about the logo file? It open correctly? And the banner (text and logo banner) file?

the rect logo looks better, but it might be bit squished...

see it looks better now, but the square logo is squished too close to the text in linux image viewer, but in brave and firefox the image looks perfect.

no png's needed. payment of 30 HIVE has been sent.
thank you again!! :)

Many thanks for payment.

I have updated the IPFS link, with all the logos separate and png too, if you need it anyway.
You can download it again, if you need it.

Not all viewers are perfect for svg files, because svg has many informations on it, in the style of web, xml, but, all the modern browsers, like Brave, read it perfect.

But, you can use Geeqie image viewer on Linux, it read perfect svg files.

I'm too on Linux, Arch - ArcoLinuxB KDE, by the way ;)

If you need some other help, i'm here for you.

Oh awesome! I downloaded it again so that I have them.
Thanx again!!!! :)

Please, install the FONT from pack first, then open the app you use and the files again.

hey @getron, how about another image? just one big one for the homepage of the cast.garden website. say, 100 HIVE for this one? i designed that green image that's on the homepage now, but we would rather have a more professional image that fills that page.

it has to look great on the black background. not too "busy" of a design. we like minimalism, but it has to exhibit an artistic nature that i do not have. extremely professional.

our goal with that site is to encourage professional podcasters to leave their current podcast hosting platforms (like blubrry.com, transistor.fm, etc.) and use cast.garden instead.

if it's possible to put some subtle animation into the image, then i will pay 150 HIVE. i like pages that always have a little bit of pop, some animation somewhere.

i use Gimp (on linux) for image editing, so I will need the layers, channels and other image data in-tact. An .xcf file would be ideal. this way i can make edits to the file when/if needed. 1600x900 should be sufficient to fill the page with a bit of scroll down, we'll have to see. final compressed/minified filesize for the web file (webp? apng?) needs to be under 800K.

lmk if ur interested in this job and thanx again! :)

Hi @kencode here i am again.

Sorry for delay, i was not online for couple of days, an have not see your message here.

Yes sure, i will get into it in the next days, i have something to do outdoors, then i will be online again, and go to work on your image.

I use Gimp and Krita too on Linux. Krita maybe more, because it has more broader design option.

Hope it is not a problem?

By the way: Happy new year!

Sweet! Thanx in advance and looking forward to seeing your mockups!
I use Gimp as well :)

ok i did that. all good now. no png's needed
