Wednesday, 10/27/21 — Buena Vista/Americus — It's a bit windy here

Coming up on almost 5 months of tentlife now.

Wind so strong last night it ripped 2 of my 6 tent pegs right out of the ground. Woke up to the sound of nylon fabric flapping violently. It was snowing. I had to make my morning coffee in the front seat of my car to keep the flame from going out. I've been craning my neck to check my tent every few minutes because I'm afraid it's going to take flight any second.

Went into town yesterday to drop off a couple bags of trash at the community center dumpster (you know, the one with the prominent No Dumping sign)… and to get some groceries and top off my water whiskey and gas all of which were dangerously low.

Speaking of low I'm down to 96 cents in my bank account, should probably do something about that.

Camped out at the end of CR 377 near BV, CO. I've been here 4 days so far and will probably roll out on Friday or Saturday.
