in #kr21 days ago (edited)

English Translation

Hello everyone! It’s 3:18 AM here in Korea.
I’ve reached my 5th day on Hive. I started with so much excitement, but even the sign-up process was intense! Since I’m not fluent in English, I’ve been translating everything to understand the system and get involved.

I thought I had studied enough, so I’ve been very active in communicating today. However, because of my high energy and frequent posting, I was misunderstood as an AI bot. I’m the type of person who goes all-in once I start something, but I’ve realized today that Hive has its own unique rules, different from Instagram or Facebook. It was a bit upsetting at first, but I'm grateful to have learned something new.

Honestly, I feel a bit overwhelmed too. I find myself wondering, "What kind of place is this really? Are there more hidden rules I might break while sharing my daily life, food, and travels?" But I’m determined to keep learning. If any experienced Hivers have tips or advice, I would truly appreciate it! I want to stay here for a long time and build genuine connections.

Since it’s so late, I'm heading to bed now. It’s amazing and wonderful to connect with people all over the world despite the different time zones, cultures, and languages. I'll be back tomorrow with more energy to learn!

Welcome to Hive. I understand the feeling, I did feel same way too when I joined newly. But as time went by, I began to have a grip on how things work around here.

Hive is a great place to be and you'll definitely enjoy your stay here.

Like you pointed out, there are general rules guiding the platform - they frown at spamming (like creating multiple posts every day. One post, at most, two posts a day is okay), low quality contents, plagiarism, Ai contents, porns, and more.

Also, each community has guidelines for posting there too. So ensure you read them before posting to avoid being muted.

You can't grow here if you don't interact, engage with other creators. You're already doing well in that aspect, so I encourage you to join communities of interest (those that align with the kind of posts you intend sharing). Request for their discord channels and join too. You'd learn more about the communities and the members there. Some communities run weekly contests, you can participate too. That'll help you gain visibility and growth.

Since you're going to be "sharing about your daily life, food and travels", then I'll suggest these ones - Foodies Beehive, Hive food, Plant power (vegan) for food. Then Daily blog, Travelfeed, Photography, Photography Lovers...

Good luck.

Thanks for the great tips! It’s wonderful to meet someone as helpful as you in this new community. I’ll make sure to follow the guidelines and explore the blogs you mentioned. Hope to see you around! Cheers!

We're all here for each other. Have a great day.
